Q: Example on the 4th early morning indicated a big down day for the Market. As I have done in the past, I try to buy a couple on sale but when it opens up, within a short period of time, stocks are down 5% to 10%. I usually say I will buy the ones that are down the most. These are usually stocks in my account. They start going up and then they come down and go up and down. I end up getting a 10% stock at 5% less and after an hour or so, the stock is down 10% again. How should I purchase in this type of a mad scramble in the early morning?
Your expertise is greatly appreciated.
Q: Please review and comment on axon earnings. Sales grow at 30+% (y/y), higher margin software sales grow at over 40%, yet margins fall, and a loss reported. Lots of r&d spend and stock based compensation help explain loss but falling margins on a sales mix that is skewed to more software sales baffles me.
Q: Does someone have inside scoop that a poop storm is coming to Canada? Is our PE ratios out of whack with global comparable?...Is widespread selling Canada is beginning?..what gives? Thanks
Q: BIP.UN: owned for a very long time in N.R.A. Bought 1000 shs @ 48.16 in 2016 - now have 2250 shs (paid in dividend) so my A.C is very low. ($21,40) Price has been stagnant for quite a while: hold or sell and buy something else?
Q: Hi, I am asking your thoughts on Ninepoint money market ETF NSAV.NE It does not appear to be in your library. How does it compare to HISA's and other money market funds?
Thanks
Q: not sure if you have answered this one but putting bep.un or bip.un in a tfsa does it make sense for withholding tax purposes etc. or is it the same as putting all canadian equities in.
Q: To follow on Marco's "general question" of Nov 3rd (great question by the way) if putting price suggestions in is one of your pet peeves, why not simply decline to provide them? As 5i has indicated many times in the past, for long term investors the decision should be to own, or to not own. My 25 cents.
With strong rumours of Glencore's closure of the Quebec Horne refinery there is increased pressure on copper supply to end users. What would be a preferred way to invest if one believes this constriction of supply will continue? Miners or Refiner names?I already own Lundin and Solaris.
