Q: Now that the WOOD PILE is getting bigger with once HIGH FLYING STOCKS, and the turtle moving utilities having a great year, how much farther with lower interest rates can these sleep at night stocks go.

Q: Utilities. They had a strong performance in 2025. I am hearing a number of investors beating the table for utilities again in 2026 especially utilities with a strong commitment to AI.

1. Do you agree with that thesis?

2. Which 3 utility stocks CAD or USD would you recommend buying now.
3. Is there an etf that has a major composition in AI oriented utilities?

Q: Nextera Energy (NEE) released a lot of information today! The new partnership with Google sounds good with NEE building the power plants to power Google’s new data centers. I think the new power contract with Meta is also good and the new natural-gas-fired plants are needed. But NEE is spending big dollars and is pulling back on dividend growth in 2027. Would you be able to share your thoughts and concerns with NEE’s plans? Would you add shares today? Or would you prefer to invest in companies winning the contracts to do the actual builds? Thank you.

Q: I think a lot of utilities tied to the wind-farm industry have taken quite a hit since Trump came back to tilt at windmills (Orsted, for example). But Trump won't be around forever. Assuming a significant rebound following his demise, what companies provide the greatest opportunity going forward? Please include one or two Canadian investment opportunities in your answer.

Q: Having previously moved most of my energy holdings out of traditional oil and gas, now I am considering ENERGY again BUT …. In the context of the expected huge need for energy to drive the computing power required by AI and crypto. With that in mind do you have strong conviction for the upside potential of a basket of such stocks?

Q: In your answer to a recent question from Tim about how to prepare for an inevitable market correction, you suggested holding stocks in defensive areas of Consumer Staples, Utilities, and Healthcare, Can you pls provide 5-6 names in each of those areas that you would want to hold. A mix of Cdn and US would be great. Thank you for your excellent service.

Q: Can you please address the question of power demand required to run the data centres of the future.The power infrastructure build out could lag demand thus driving up electrical rates, Would there also be a drag on earnings for companies that don’t get the power required?

Q: I bought NEE in a tax-deferred account because of fast-growing power demands by AI and other technologies (also because you liked it so much). It has been a frustrating business to hold, especially compared to other utilities like DUK and AEP. Did NEE become a victim of the current US admin’s pig-headedness about renewables ? NEE shares worth holding ? Analysts seem torn : several rate it a strong buy but almost as many rate it as hold/sell. Questions posed to different AI engines give responses that are just as conflicted.

What do you think of NEE’s business model and the prospects for share appreciation over the next 3 years vs. its peers? If possible, some in-depth comment would help . Please act as critical umpires who are now fed up (pretend if you must). If you have better ideas (preferably US , UK or Europe) I would welcome your suggestions.

Q: Are there some utility or resource companies that will especially benefit from the need for increased electricity for data centres for AI and crypto?

Q: I'm thinking that we are still in early innings of the AI / Data Centre / Power Consumption game. Assuming that to be true, I'm trying to figure out the best strategy to capitalize on this opportunity. Q: Sounds like President Trump is going to get involved helping the AI sector, specifically the huge power requirements. Looking for some investing ideas that will benefit from the presumed increased spending?

Q: Currently I hold Fortis (FTS), Hydro One (H), NextEra (NEE), and Brookfield Infrastructure (BIP.UN) in the utilities space. I have been thinking of adding Capital Power (CPX). Could you please rank the five in terms of best overall expected return over the next few years? Would you consolidate any? Thank you.
