Q: This is for my wife's RRSP, she is now 70 and will soon have to start withdrawing. Have recently sold J&J and have about 17K to re-invest. For the US portion of her portfolio she currently holds: AMTD; FB; AT&T; MSF. For stability (preservation of capital), some growth and growing dividends which of the above which you recommend without regard to sector. If you can suggest another or even two securities with better overall qualities that meet my requirements, I would appreciate your suggestion.

Q: I hold the above and they all had favorable comments from 5i on growth at one point. Is growth still intact? Do you see anything that's changed in the companies or the environment that would affect any of these? They are inside an RSP for long term growth. TIA!

Q: Currently UTX is the only industrial stock in my portfolio and I would like to add two or three more to bring industrials up to 15 to 20% of my total portfolio. I have a very long-term total return focus. What are your favorite industrial stocks (either Canadian or US) at this time? thx

Q: Good Morning,

I'm looking to add a few more US stocks to my portfolio. I'm adequately represented in tech and financial sectors. Could you give me 4 or 5 names in other sectors where above average growth might be expected.

Thanks for your help,

Dennis

Q: Hi team !
In order to beef up my industrial sector, I am looking for one or two names with the best growth potential, moderate risk for a 2-3 years time frame.
In addition to the names listed above, I am looking at NV5 Global (nvee) and Arcelor Mital (mt). Feel free to suggest other options.
Grateful if you would formulate your recommandations at this time with the reason why and your preference. Do you own any of these stocks ?
Please deduct credits as you see fit.
A grateful Montrealer,
Jacques

Q: Hello Peter and team,
I know that you don't generally deal with U.S. stocks, but I would greatly appreciate it if you would identify your top 2 recommendations for each of the following sectors: Industrials, Materials and Technology. Thank you for your excellent service.

Q: I would appreciate your opinion of the value, or lack thereof, that the shares of Atlassian Corporation (TEAM) might currently offer? I'm seeking investments that might reasonably be able to provide me with a 10% or better, total return over the next 12 months.

Regardless of your opinion of Atlassian; any suggestions you might have for other firms which one might reasonably be able to expect a 10% total return or better from, over the coming year, would also be welcome.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas! Cheers and thank you!

Q: Good morning Gentlemen.
I need to re-balance my Industrial sector.
Actual holdings BAD 1%, ATA 1.5%, SIS 3.3%, and WSP 3.4%.
By selling BAD (1%) I will have 5% to add to the sector.
Can you please suggest 2 or 3 Can or US solid mid-cap stocks for at least 5 years.
Thanks
Best Regards

Q: Dear 5i
I`ve read a few times that you`ve mentioned EBIX as one of your favourite US stocks . I`ve looked at it in some detail and agree that it looks impressive . My only concern is its debt level and a relatively high short position. Do these metrics concern you at all ?
I`m considering FLIR and GRMN as well and was wondering if you could rate these three stocks best to worst .
Thanks
Bill C.

Q: I have a well diversified CND and US portfolio. I have done well on both SWKS and WBA in the US but wonder if its time to move on from these names due to better opportunities elsewhere? If so, what would you recommend to replace them with and why (can be in different sectors),
Thanks for the great service!

Scott

Q: From what i see in the comments of the last months, these 8 companies seems to be among your US favorite stocks.
1- am I right about those 8?
2- would you like to add a few US names, could be in any sectors
3- I buy companies with a 10 year + timeline. A lot of companies i'm interest in are in the technology sector and I tend to be overweighted in that sector. Its hard for me to imagine technology not directly corrolated to industrial or consumer staples growth for exemple. Does it make senses to you to balance a technology overweight (30-40%) portfolio by diversifying among the technology sub-sectors?
4- I understand that you focus on Canadian companies. I also understand that your are conflicting free and that you mostly invest in US stocks. However, I'm pretty sure that a significant proportions of 5i members would be willing to pay for some form of US stocks advices. Maybe a US portfolio or a US favorise stock list. (maybe with a minimum market cap limit so your decisions would still be conflict free) Your services are unique and are a benediction for small investors. It would be a great opportunity for us to have them for the US market too. I'm sure a survey among members would prove me right.

thanks again for your amazing services
