Q: Have owned ENGH forever and enjoy the growing dividend but looking at the the ten year chart I shake my head and wonder what's wrong. With its balance sheet strength etc why is it so flat and going nowhere? Is this a management problem, industry issues? Could I get your opinion on this? Would you replace it and with what? Thanks

Q: Hello. I’ve held Savaria in an RESP for a number of years and have done decently though it has not performed well recently. Ignoring diversification etc I’m wondering if a switch into TVK might provide better returns. Thoughts on this ignoring other holdings?
Thanks

Q: Could you suggest a global bond ETF in Canadian dollars? Thanks
Q: Can you please give an updated opinion on GIS?
The metrics don't appear to be terrible, and the valuation is getting attractive.
Also, technically, it is approaching some major long term support.
Is this stock suitable for a reasonably conservative portfolio at this point?

Q: What are your thoughts on Clearwater Analytics?
Q: After this recent reup does SYM still seem attractive? Ideally, what would be a good entry point for this company (if any)? For a growth investor is it a good idea to replace ATS:CA for SYM?

Q: When NA took over CWB I was concerned that there may be integration issues given the size of the acquisition, the different geography, and possible corporate cultures. Similar to when Empire took on Safeway in 2013. Are we comfortable that any such issues are well behind NA by now?
Thanks as always.

Q: Hi.What is your opinion on HAI?
What percentage does Evertz still own in HAI?
You think with military spending going up HAI could benefit?
Also is there still a big chance that ET will takeover HAI?

Q: Hi 5i
Is it the business these guys are in or is it just the people can’t get a success fire lit under this company and stock?
I don’t know what my total return is since buying as a 5i stock years ago, but I’m clearly not a great allocator of capital. This selection did offer income but at the cost of share price.
Analysts are finding positives but year over year things are just blah.
If they sold the business to large US Tech player, would it fetch much more than current share price?
Thanks

Q: Dear Peter et al:
I request you to take off your fundamental analyst hat and put on your options trader hat!
If I were to write (Sell) cash secured puts, which of these companies do you fancy. Will keep July 25th exp as a constant. I usually keep the delta between 15-25. But I know this changes rapidly. On a side note do you give importance to implied volatility?
Feel free to add symbols that YOU fancy for such a trade if you don't like my symbols!!
Many thanks in advance. Happy Canada Day!

Q: The Alberta Premier is talking about getting a private company(s)
to build a pipeline to link the resources of Alberta to BC Province
I have all the pipelines in my portfolio
in terms of construction, would WSP, Stn and any other companies benefit from
this Big Project? just like linking the West to the East pipeline which could happen
to benefit all Canadians
good luck to the projects
thanks
Michael

Q: Good morning, I am presently down about 30% and wondering whether to just let it be, and wait for a comeback at some point, or sell and deploy funds elsewhere, and if so, what might you suggest as an alternative, keeping in mind that if I sell and invest elsewhere, I would need to make about 50% just to get back to breakeven on my original OXY investment. Thanks
Q: I have held BCE for about 3 years now. Cost of $20K and it's worth $13.5K now. Down $6,500... 34%. Wondering if it makes sense to sell half of my BCE (about $7K) and buy $7K worth of Telus to try and leverage any potential gains across both rather than just one. I guess, wondering if splitting my investment across two of these telco's makes sense ... and a brief reason as to why (or why not) I should do it.
Q: The outlook for copper and the insider buying & ownership of Highland Copper(HI). Is this company's balance sheet trending in a good direction? Basically is their longer term outlook from what you see more of a positive outlook or negative outlook?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I am interested in buying ETFs for precious metals. I have read that it is important to ensure that the ETF company holds the metal physically and does not lend it.
I am surprised at the difference in MERs amongst popular funds. For example, for platinum, PPLT is very popular. Its MER however is 0.6% whilst the less popular iShares SPLT is 0.2%.
Do you see any reason why SPLT would be riskier? What words do I need to look for to ensure that the ETF physically holds the metal and does not lend it out?
Thank you for this excellent advice.
