Q: Hello there - I'd like to do some consolidation and wonder about selling ACO.X ( at a small loss) and putting the proceeds into either BIP or BEPC (both of which I currently own). Your thoughts, please. Which way offers the most promising upside over a long investment horizon. Thank you
Q: I currently hold CIBC and BNS and think it a good time to add to Canadian banks due to the low valuations and high dividends. Do you see any issue with this? Time horizon is at least 6 years. Should I add to these existing or add the other 3 large Canadian banks? I also hold the BMO Canadian banks in my wife's portfolio.
Q: Q1 looked pretty good...what is your take on the dividend? Is it the best use of capital going forward or is it only meant to make up for the strategic review closing...otherwise this looks like a company I'd like to buy/hold. Curious on what you think about it? Thanks as always.
Q: Should I be concerned that today this stock dropped below 200 DMA on heavy volume. Fundamentally would you rate buy, sell, or hold.
Best Regards,
Harold
Q: You seem to be more constructive on SJ in your latest report. Would SJ be an indirect way to play the EV market with the increase in demand for electricity and thus utility poles?
Q: This morning’s news indigenous will ask judge for emergency shut down of line 5 due to river erosion. Decision to be made by the end of the week. Do you think this will happen and what will be the impact on the stock.
Q: SJ reported this morning. Numbers looked good but in constant comparison, not quite as impressive but still up. What do you think? How should market react.
Q: My electrification theme has done remarkably well lately, in fairness I have owned HPS.a for many years, but now what?? They each appear to shifting from value plays to growth plays and while my gut says to take profits my brain says the trend is your friend and hold until growth plateaus. Would appreciate your opinion on the three of them and my favourable dilemma.
