Q: Hi the great team, recently a drop of technology companies stock prices may be attributed to profit taking or else. Do you suggest doing same action ? If yes, when and how?

Q: hello 5i
I own GreenPower but not Tesla. But am I right to say that since GP started trading in the US, it seems to trade in lock step with Tesla ? IMO, still quite different companies, with GP focused in US and increasing government and state subsidies. Still, if it is going to trade like Tesla, then I would be more tempted to reduce my position. Your opinion please...
thanks

Q: Hi,
Much like all tech stocks, shopify has also come under selling pressure recently. Is it still a buy at the current level?
Thanks

Q: Have a loss in REAL. What are your thoughts on selling it and replacing it with WELL. Do you see equal growth potential for both companies?
Thanks. Peter
Thanks. Peter
Q: Notice recent move on PTQ, ,largely, I assume on takeover/merger with company in southeastern U.S. Does management have experience and background in growth by acquisition strategies? and do insiders own much of this small cap ? Thanks, Bill
Q: Have held NWC for a few years as one my major consumer staple holdings. Am now wanting to deploy more resources to this sector and want an opinion on this (WN.PR.A) perpetual preferred issue - similar type of sector and I would think limited volatility (March notwithstanding). With very low interest rates, is there a major concern of redemption? Thanks for your help and support, Bill

Q: Hello,
I have been holding Laurentien Bank for a few years thinking it was 'cheap' as it was trading below book value. It's done terribly should I hold/sell any recommendations on an alternative holding for the long term.

Q: Please suggest a few ETF or actively managed funds for growth over 15 years.
Also, if the horizon is 15 years, will emerging markets like India/ China do better than mature markets.

Q: HI
I purchased LNF a few months ago when it was a recommended strong buy by 5i. It has grown 10.98% YTD and 44% since my time of purchase. Last Friday, it reached a 52 week high and the company announced that it would buy back 4.99% of its shares starting Sept 15th. My understanding is that one of the reasons a company might buy back shares is to increase its price. To me, it seems to have already grown quite a bit.
1. Should I sell part of my shares given its growth?
2. Should the buy back have any weight on my decision to sell?
3. How does 5i decide on its recommendation (eg. hold etc)?
thanks again for all your help

Q: In a recent missive, David Rosenberg suggests that smallish pharma and biotech companies are the place to look for future growth. As I don't have enough cash on hand to buy a bunch of stocks, can you please suggest a fund or two that would be a good way to play the pharma/biotech sector. Though your focus is mainly Canada, I suspect that the US would be the place to play this sector. Do you agree?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
Q: This morning David Rosenberg recommended small-cap health care stocks. I would appreciate your recommendation on several Canadian listed health care stocks, particularly those on the forefront of technology.
Q: I have a fairly large position on VET averaging at $5.27/share, comprising of 13% of overall portfolio, which I can hold on for 1 - 2 years. With the price now at $3.94.. I am considering if I should hold on or buy more to lower my average cost. If I recall correctly, you mentioned earlier about VET having a going concern issue.. and also having a good bounce in recovery; if it survives till then. I'd rather hold than book a loss; I'll sell only if its a major going concern issue.
Can you please advise if I should hold, buy or sell. I will make my own decision on what works best for you me; but your candid advise would be very helpful. Much thanks for your excellent service!

Q: hello 5i:
I hold AVGO, and have done very well with it, but the valuation is beginning to look stretched. I'd like to stay in the same sector, but most tech valuations look high. INTC and LRCX look "reasonable". While not completely similar (subsectors differ), can you give me your opinion of these two companies? I've reviewed other questions eg you like NVDA, but with a PE of 90, as compared to INTC's 9, I can't see this as a contest (yes, I realize there is more to valuation than just looking at PEs). We also own CSU, OTEX, and PANW in this technology, with a small position in PHO. Normally, we're very long time holders eg. bought CSU at $115 (no, not a misprint). Look forward to your comments, as I really dislike stock gains to evaporate, unless they're being held for income.
thanks

Q: Hello and Good day,
I would really like to see some type of historical listing? under the porfolios tab to capture the changes that were made to the model portolios over the years. Example: NFI, RHT. Price the shares were bought and sold for a loss. The winners are very highly touted and rightfully so, but to the casual subscriber, it almost appears that 5i has never picked a bad one? Maybe you could do it by the year?? Just a thought. Thanks again.

Q: Was there anything in the report of conference call that is making the stock go down 6%?
Thanks
