Q: In following your recent responses you seem quite comfortable with AVO and its momentum combined with its risk/return factor. Using that as your base measurement could you list 3 more that you would feel have the same or more momentum and you feel the same level of return/risk confidence. These would fit into my Tfsa

Great Q & A section. Goes very well with my morning coffee

Q: I am following the BE portfolio. In tech, I already own Constellation and Kinaxis. If I want to add to technology, which of AVO, CLS or SYZ should I choose at the moment? Any particular stock with good momentum? Thanks!

Q: Hi,

Looking to invest it in a solid long term growth company. Wondering your thoughts about AVO/ PHO /IOM. From a valuation basis; which one is more attractive at Todays prices. ? curious to know which one you think has greater growth potential from earnings standpoint ?

Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter, I was contemplating selling half my GSY holdings and buying into AVO for diversity purposes, as I am up 40% on GSY. As far as growth and SP potential going forward, and comparing the two, is this a ok move? If I am going to sell off part of my GSY holdings I would be hoping that the funds I allocate (possibly into AVO) will perform equal or better to GSY going forward. I have also noticed AVO has ran up quite a bit; is it still a good buy here? It seems to be above the average analyst "targets" at the moment;

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and 5i staff,

For my son's 2018 TFSA contribution, please rank these stocks and one ETF in order of preference: GSY, AVO, TOY, SIS, MX, XEU. He already holds SIS (up 216%), TOY (up 50%), and MX (up 34%). He holds no European stocks and very little outside of Canada, so I think that XEU could achieve some extra diversification, with a further advantage that it's a "commission-free" ETF with Scotia iTrade. Any other suggestions would be most welcome.

His other holdings include BCE, BEP.UN, BNS, CAR.UN, ENGH, GUD, KXS, NFI, PBH, and TRP.

Thanks for such great advice! There's no way we could replicate such results without 5i at our side.

Q: I am looking for low priced high growth Canadian companies that I want to buy in TFSA in the new year. Volatility, risk factors are NOT relevant. For about 11k. (5500x2) I bought PHO and BBI after reading your responses to some of the subscribers in the Q&A section. Any other names that you would suggest? ( Being seniors our core holdings are in the ETFs in different sectors and safe stocks like XIC, VDY, VIG,MGV,XEG,GLD,XGD etc., ). So, this 11k can be allocated to risky micro or ultra micro caps and I am ok with some losses if I can score a few three or 4 bangers!
My membership has been extended to March 2020 which shows my confidence in you! You need to find a way to synchronise my CMS and 5i subscriptions though!
Wish you all Happy, Healthy, Peaceful and Plentiful New Year!

Thank you for all your prompt, thoughtful and candid answers to such varied questions from so many different type of members.
Truly amazing.
Mano.

Q: I have a portfolio modeled after your balanced portfolio with a few additions/ substitutions from the growth portfolio. My wife holds BIP.UN in a taxable account where it may be suitable to take profits this year rather than in the future. Would you sell and replace with either AVO or NFI at the current time? I guess I am asking if you expect more growth from AVO/NFI than BIP going forward. Thanks

Q: My 20 year old contributed $21k to his TFSA in July, purchasing roughly equal amounts of KXS, PHO, SIS, TOY and PUR. He just sold his PUR shares and now has about 26% of his now $27.6k portfolio in cash. KXS represents about 14% of his portfolio (down approx. 8% from July), PHO 20%/+33%; SIS 17%/+14% and TOY 23%/+43%. Are there one or two names you could suggest to add to his portfolio? Or would he better off maybe topping up a couple of his current holdings (KXS? SIS?). This is for a long term hold. Love your service. Thanks.
