Q: In the current market and beyond, knowing I currently own CS, what would be 1 or 2 good Materials diversification stocks to buy or are the markets currently overvalued ? Is LUN a good example for instance ?

Q: I'm down 15% on TFII in my unregistered account. Do you see any short term bounce ? I am considering if I should sell to claim the capital loss? Understanding that this is my choice, would you sell for the capital loss my place? If so would you buy it back after the 30 days or move to something else?

Which Canadian stocks are you going to select for the aliens?

Q: Currently this fund makes up approximately 21% of my portfolio and is my only diversified holding. It at 7.6% yield makes up 40% of my monthly income and pension makes up balance.The mer.is 1.05% and of course a good % of yield is roc. Would you suggest any better alternative or ? Thanks Larry

Q: On behalf of my kids I am about to begin to drawn down some RESP funds. My goal is to keep some invested but move to less volatile/risky investments. As part of that I want to keep 1-2 years worth of draw down as 'near cash' but in an interest bearing instrument within the self directed RESP. What are some suggestions that maximize the cash generated but minimize the volatility?

I have good gains on both of these ETFs and would appreciate your thoughts on sticking with them, reducing somewhat, or selling all. Both are near 52 week highs. Any seasonality to them? Any clues from the charts?

Q: Yesterday I said that I have just sold all our shares in SPB:CA despite the high dividend, because the share price has been languishing for too long. In fact the share price has been steadily declining and it is this decline over a long period that has pushed me to sell.
I asked for alternatives in the energy industry, but you excluded oil and gas suggestions.
I have recently sold ENB because its share price has also been steadily declining. If a stock has a high dividend, I still like to see the share price remaining stable or increasing a little.
We have a 5% position in BEP:UN, but I have always considered this to be more of a utility than an energy stock. Your suggestions seem to be very similar to BEP:UN.

So can you reflect on this and give me a suggestion on a single company in the energy industry that is likely to provide the best ROI over the next 3-5 years, but include oil & gas in your answer.

Q: Is this an food way to buy US stocks?

Q: Currency . I went to TD bank and wanted to cash Euro's and put them in my US account in american dollars. Clerk advised this could not be done. I would have to change Euro's to Canadian dollars and then change Canadian to US. 5i is this normal I would have to pay all exchanges. I decided to go to an exhange and they did this no problem.What's is TD under such scrutiny from Gov't.

Q: Currently down just over 30% on Magna in my TFSA.Mortgage due for renewal in July 2026.Was planning to pay mortgage off with magna and would need close to my book value of 94.50. Would you consider Magna a hold or advise on a better alternative? Much appreciate your input.Thanks Larry

Q: I purchased these two based on your recommendations. NXT slightly off but it is early days. NXT up 50%. Thank you your guidance. My question is about the volatility of these two stocks. They will trade +/- 5% in a day quite often. Does this kind of movement concern you or does it represent the kind of investor involved in these stocks?

Q: Hi, All these companies are on 5i's recommended list and have been added to Growth portfolio, in the recent past and have done well. Kudos to your Portfolio Team !!!

If the Balanced Portfolio had Cash available and room to add to Industrial/Material sector, which one/ones of these will qualify and be your choice ?

Also, if one owns all above companies, in small positions, in what order would you add, based on their respective valuations, presently and why ?
