Q: Hi,
I have MCD,RDS.A and VOD in my RRSP account which pays dividend in USD. Ideally I would have liked DRIP for these stocks. Please can you suggest any low cost US/Global ex canada mutual fund I can use to invest the dividends.(I get 300/400 USD Quarterly and do not want to spend $10 commission for buying the stocks/ETF.

Q: Hello 5i, For exposure to the energy and material sectors while maintaining a decent yield, I was wondering if I could sell XEG and XMA and replace them with OXF and MXF. Thanks.

Q: I have a well diversified Canadian portfolio. I would like to have coverage of the US market with one or two etf's. Can you suggest any that would give me a broad selection of US stocks.

Q: I currently hold ZWE, ZWU, and ZWH in my RRSP for a total weight of 4.8% .
Is this unnecessary duplication and / or is the weighting too high given

Q: Shopify has gone up a lot in the last quarter. They are reporting results on 15ht Feb. Should I hold through the results as a miss could bring the stock back to $50 or should I sell 50% of the position.

Q: Hi,
I am down 60% on this this one. Very small portion of my portfolio (less than 1%. Just wondering if I should average down or let it be for now. Stock looks pretty cheap on P/E, P/B and P/S. RFC went down with the oil and gas sector because of its large exposure to Alberta. RFC seems to be doing ok. Do you think this is dead money or does it have some potential in the medium term.

Q: Dear 5i
I am considering moving my rrsp investments from my acct with my financial planner to an rrsp acct withQuestrade who I deal with as a brokerage company . Am I best to sell all holdings to cash and then have all the cash wired over to Questrade or just transfer in kind convert to cash then rebuy what I want ?

Q: With respect to portfolio construction, do you recommend:
a) Weighting each of the 11 sectors equally? (i.e. 9% to each sector).
or
b) Weighting each of the 11 sectors according to their proportion on the index?
If you recommend option b, which index would you use, the TSX or S&P?

Q: I have been a holder of AQN for a fair while and have been very satisfied and even have added to the position on dips. I notice that the "short" position of this stock was increased by 51% as at Jan31/17. I don't usually become concerned by changes in short positons however this increase is considerable. Should I view this as a concern by the so-called better informed?

Q: I took this morning's post-earnings weakness as a chance to purchase Telus, which has been on my "to buy" list for a while. There was a one-time contract issue affecting their profit this past quarter, but they seem on pace with respect to wireless subscriptions, low attrition rates, and dividend increase schedule. I purchased it in my RRSP for a 30+ year hold. Good move?

Q: as a follow up question on Redknee rkn/t,after another poor Q,I took your advice and dumped.
