Q: I sold yesterday half our position which was in a rsp, now we have an amount equal in a cash account representing 1.5 % of our portfolio. I see the stock is up today another 3% on low volume, no news except this marijuana growing joint venture a couple month ago. Do you know if there is insider buying?
I am tempted to cash out. your advice is always precious.

Q: Greetings 5i team:

Can you please suggest 3 stocks on a valuation basis that still have a good balance sheet that you consider have the best potential over the long term. If you can draw them from the mid-cap or larger dividend paying universe so much the better, irrespective of sector. Finally, if you could highlight what you see as the biggest risk for each?

Q: Please provide your comments about the recent appointment of James Henderson as COO and possible appointment to CEO next spring.

The stock has done well in the past few months but historically it seems that just as things are looking good bad news breaks. As I am typing this question, the stock has dropped by 5% with today’s news. Is this an over reaction?

I have held AVO for the past two years, in my TFSA and it represents only 2.4% of my total portfolio.

Should I continue to hold this stock?

Q: Hi, would like your opinion on Enf. I have had it over a year with a 4% loss,but doing ok with dividend.
I was thinking of switching to either CWX or INE for a little more growth with a dividend. Would you consider this a ok switch or would I just be spinning my wheels.
Sector is no problem, but do like good management,good cash flow, lower debt, some growth etc.
Or could you recommend one or two dividend stocks with some growth?

Q: Hello,

My question is about smaller dividend paying oil companies. I have referenced Torc, but the question could be about the entire universe of companies. These stocks continue to drift lower, even with the oil price firming in and around $50 USD. My understanding is that most, if not all of these companies can continue to pay dividends and make money if the oil price stays at these prices or higher. What will it require to get investors interested in this sector again?
