Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: There is a news item that GIB.A has been awarded a contract to produce a "virtual flight data recorder". This sounds exactly like what FLY has been trying to sell for years but it never really got off the ground (sorry). Do you see GIB.A fairing better and what are the implications for FLY.
Thanks
Ian

Q: About 3 weeks ago, they received a STC certification for Boeing 737. Is this going to be a game changer for their bottom line ???
Also, there was talk sometime ago, that the Chinese Air Lines were going to be required to have similar requirements. Did anything materialize from that.
Is FLY now profitable or still bleeding and what are the next 2 years projections.

They are all off of their highs and appear to be heading downward .

Q: You found some microcaps interesting years ago and I'm wondering if you still like some of them and/or perhaps there are others you like for a 5-10 year hold?

Thanks.

Q: Happy Holidays 5i Team,

Could I please get your analysis on the above names as part of a diversified small cap portfolio focused on capital gains over 3-5 year hold. I have partial positions at higher prices in both IOM and SIM but they seem undervalued now given their prospects and current price. I generally prefer to diversify over averaging down while still building a portfolio as a strategy, but I am also willing to be flexible if the risk and reward is right. Would you add to existing positions in these stocks? Under what circumstances would you recommend someone consider averaging down?

I also like the prospects of GSI VHI and FLY and would appreciate your comments on them as being added to a aggressive growth portfolio. Any red flags or risks other than size? How would you rank them given their current price?

Thanks for the great service and happy New Year to everyone.

Q: Can you provide any insight into the acquisition announced yesterday?

What could it mean for the stock?

The terms sound too good to be true;
-to keep the asset acquisition cash-flow neutral to FLYHT during this period, PAC will pay FLYHT a subsidy of USD$3.3 million.
-Pursuant to the terms of the acquisition of PWS assets and the transition agreement, FLYHT is paying no monetary consideration to PAC for the PWS assets.

Thanks.

Q: Would you please comment on the impact to their business model and future share price of the two recent announcements by FLY-X that it is certified for Inmarsat SB-S platform on May 24, 2018 and their receipt of Canadian Patent for FLYHTStream announced on May 30, 2018. The share price is up almost 13% on higher than average volumes today on this last news. Thanks
