Q: Hi

i have couple reds ( Xbc - 54%, REAL -46%, BBTV - 30%, ABCL - 25%, GUD - 16%, EGLX - 12%, MX - 11%, SYZ - 10% ) in registered account. Looking for your opinion whether to sell/hold/buy or replace with some other stocks in same sectors or any good replacement you think based on valuation irrespective of sector.

Q: XBC, REAL, PRN and QST, are down significantly this year. At current valuations, are these a Buy, Hold or Sell. If buying, what would you guess might be a good entry point for each.

Q: Hi, in a followup to Real's earnings question, after you listen in on the con call, what do you feel it is going to take to get this stock to return to its glory days ...or to get investors more interested? Do they simply need to add more lenders, execute better, improve their Title performance division? Better economy?
I have accumulated about a 5-7% position averaging around $15 during the last 2 years..
If they were not so active in buying and cancelling their shares I don't think their numbers would be very good....and maybe that is a telling tale but I generally think that if a company is actively buying and cancelling their shares they know that will come to fruition down the road.
Is there light at the end of the tunnel for these guys? Thoughts?

Q: As of today, what would be your top 10 most stable Canadian companies, or ETF's, to invest in. Stable meaning those best able to ride out any market or economic downturn. Dividends are always nice but not essential. Thanks as always.

Q: I have a number of laggards in my portfolio that have been dramatically outperformed by peers during this year's rally, many of which I already own. I realize that you have generally rated these as 'hold' when asked in the past-yet I'm seeing a substantial opportunity cost to holding while others hold momentum during these hot markets for tech, industrial and commodities.
Any thoughts on whether it is worth continuing to hold and would you advise replacing at this time. ie on the balance of possible outcomes, would I be better off to stand pat or shift over to comparables within the sectors?

Q: Hi, can you pls tell me how many total shares have been purchased and cancelled by the company (Real Matters) in the last 3 month and 6 month periods?
Is there a site that can tell me this info?

And is it possible for you to add totals like this in your Company Insiders section? Your section lists the transaction types and the number of buy and sell 'trades' but it does not list the total share counts. ie if i were to ask for the total shares redeemed/cancelled i would have to count x pages of listed entries....but perhaps another site already provides this info. but I'd prefer to just stay in one site. :) Perhaps this can be an enhancement in a future update.

Q: How would you rank the following companies (WELL, REAL, ENGH, TOI, FLGT, ABCL) in terms of potential growth over next 3-5 years ? Are they any that you would not be keen on? If so could you provide an alternative or two?

Q: The listed companies each carry about a 1% weighing in my portfolio. There are no tax implications and I am positive on all of these. I am trying to reduce my overall holdings to about 25. I believe each company has its merits but I will never hit a home run with such a small investment. Can you advise which ones you would keep and consolidate or perhaps suggest something else to put all of the proceeds toward.

Q: My wife and I are each opening up a TFSA with 75000 initial deposit in each account. We are thinking of putting 5-8 ETF's into the one account and 10-12 stocks into the other account. Wondering if this is a good strategy or if you would suggest something different? The emphasis would be primarily on growth, but not at extreme risk. Can you recommend 5 or more ETF's (and percentage allotted for each) for good diversity for the one account, and 10-12 stocks equally spread out to cover the $75,000 in the other account.
Please deduct as many credits as appropriate.

Q: I am underweight in the technology sector with half positions in CSU, TOI and REAL. I have a well diversified balanced portfolio. Please recommend 2 or 3 CDN technology stocks with a good growth outlook, and rank your choices. I'd like a brief rationale for your number one choice.
