Q: RRSP US dollar : any recommendations please for a US ETF equivalent to a cash saving account + optimal interest (accepted by RBC ) ,since in canadian accounts RBC and TD do not trade CASH,PSA ETFs,but accept trading HSAV and MNY .

Q: Like your opinion on NPI - realize that most alternative power companies are down & high interest rates affect them. Am a long term holder of NPI. What is your view for the next 1-3years - should I sell & look for a lower entry point or hold on?

Also, what are your forecasts for the Big 5 Cdn. Banks?

Q: Hi 5I
I want to make sure I understand the effect of management fee and management expense ratio MER, on an ETFs dividend yield.

For example looking at ZWB the indicated dividend yield on my brokers site is listed as
Div - 7.64%,
MER -0.72 %
Mgt fee - 0.065 %

Is the stated dividend 7.64% the amount received after all expenses are paid or do you subtract the fees to get the actual dividend received?

Q: As a follow up question to August 18, when you say the market is treating TOI and LMN as a current day CSU, is this a good or bad thing wrt to growth prospects? Does this mean there is less runway for growth, for TOI and LMN, then CSU had in the early days?

Q: Assuming western governments favour financial repression to get themselves out of their respective debt mess, what does this all mean for a recent retiree like me? Are any stock sectors worth investing in? How about gold / material stocks and certain REITs ? Are utilities safe?

No government leader had any backbone over the past couple of decades and chose to continually “kick the can down the road” and now there’s no way out….and the piper will eventually be paid.

Q: I'm in my mid seventies and retired. My pension income covers my monthly needs and I do have excess capital to invest. Dividend income is always welcome but I also would appreciate some growth in my portfolio. I realize you lean towards companies that have strong growth profiles and often find great investments in that arena. My questions are two fold.
1. Based on my limited explanation of my personal investment profile, could you list some of the companies you favour that could be, 'just too risky" for me to invest in?
2. Alternatively, could you list some of your favourite companies that I should consider investing in?
