Q: Appreciate your views on CSU debentures. They seem to guarantee 6.5% plus the inflation rate, so have been yielding 7.5-8%. Seems like a good vehicle for income. Thx

Q: This is comment on your answer to Brian's question. For the record the merger has been approved during the July 11th meeting. It is important to know that instruction on options have to be submitted by tomorrow. Otherwise the default is receiving PPL shares subject to proration.

Q: Thanks for your help and insight. I have just rec'd a recorded message from the CFO, I think, of PIH to vote my shares in support of the Methode plan of arrangement. Is there any other significance to such a call than that there has been a poor response, number of shares-wise, to the plan?

Q: Just looking over the ishares website regarding CDZ, and I don't seem to understand why the dividends have not been increasing steadily and instead have been erratic. For a dividend growth ETF, should the dividends not increase regularly? Can you please help me understand this?

Q: I have advanced funds to my sons and their wives, ages approx. 40, to set up TFSA's and suggested they invest in Reits and set them up as Drips. I gave them a list of suggested Reits and I believe they have all followed my suggestions. None of them are really into investing. Could I have your comments on this strategy.

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I am trying to get a better understanding idea of "normal-average market fluctuations".
So for example...Lets say your portfolio hits a high for the year in April and a low in September with just normal conditions and no catastrophic events. So here is the question...What might the percentage difference be...10% 15% or 20%? Please give a number for a momentum-FANG portfolio vs a conservative VALUE portfolio vs a small cap CONTRARIAN portfolio. I think knowing what is normal may reduce the anxiety for us retail investors.
