Q: I bought SGY at $7.00 a share in my TFSA. Do I hold on or do I move on? At what price does oil have to reach for SGY to reach $7.00. Thanks. Zdzislaw

Q: Hi guys,
Could you please comment on this stock, seems like the company does the right things but remains stagnant. Is it a buy at the 11 dollar mark for a small position.
Thank you kindly,
Mark

Q: Could you please give your thoughts on Dream Global and future prospects. They seem to be doing the right things in terms of recycling older buildings and reducing exposure to Deutsche Post along with acquiring better properties. They have fully deployed the proceedings of the bought deal with the announcement yesterday of the acquisition in Stuttgart. Most of the mortgages in Germany are around 1.7% and should not be affected for the most part by rising rates.
I doubt they will increase distributions anytime in the near future but my yield on cost is above 10% and the holding is around 6% of my portfolio. Thank you for your work.

Q: SVI has been on a run recently. These Storage companies are very profitable. Low maintenance , Few Employees. Good exposure across Canada. The Only Storage play in Canada. What do you think upside might be ? I know Company has a lot of Debt after recent purchase . Bob
Q: What are you thoughts on the recent results?
Q: Hello Peter, being now within a few years of retirement, we are managing to put extra money into a non-registered account on top of our diversified RRSPs. The idea is that we will build a portfolio of full positions in a variety of solid companies for long-term income and growth. To date, we have ATD.B, ENB, L, FTS, CGX, T and CXI. I'd next like to add two tech stocks, as we currently have no representation from that sector. Can you please suggest two top picks. (While irrational, CSU would psychologically be a tough one for me to buy, as it came within pennies of my order price under $500 last summer! But if that's one of them, so be it.) I've also considered OTEX. Will appreciate your suggestion.
Q: Hi Folks,
I'm looking to add a REIT or two to my income portfolio. I'm also aware of the possibility that rates may increase over the next year or so. I was thinking that "growthy" REITS would provide some protection from rising rates. Could you suggest two or three REITS with the potential for above average growth with a sustainable distribution. I'm OK with some riskier names.
Great work, as usual.
Dennis

Q: Starting to look increasingly attractive at todays prices. Although first quarter was mediocre, Canwest aquisition will close soon. Am I being too optimistic?

Q: Hi 5i - with the Feds announcing 64 Billion in defense spending, which companies do you think could see a material benefit, and on what kind of timeline?
Thx for your hard work.

Q: Is our weighting of REITs too high at 10.9% ? Also, do we have too many, and if so, how do we reduce? We have: CAR.UN, DRM, FCR, HR.UN, KMP.UN, NVU.UN, REF.UN, TCN, XRE---all on the tsx. CREIT and H&R are each over 20%, TCN and XRE are each 14% and the others are each less than 6% of our REIT sector. Thanks in advance.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan,
What do you think about Stella Jones and CGI group as stocks for long term and having maximum weight of 5% each? I have also noticed companies that have simple and understandable businesses (easy to understand products) can do quite well and do not seem to be attached by short sellers. For example, Boyd Income and CCL Industries, Richards Packaging, etc As a result, i was thinking of initiating a position in Storage Vault for a 3-5 year hold at current price of 2.70. Please comment on whether it is a good time and if i should start with 2% position as opposed to 3 or 4. Thank you

Q: I am just getting started (complete newb). I listened to the Building wealth interview podcasts. I would like to invest ~$20k now, via TFSA, then perhaps invest a monthly sum (say $1k). With a commission fee of $10 per trade, how would you recommend approaching this? Would you buy 20 different holdings of one of your model portfolios at ~$1000 each? What would you do with the monthly sum? (I was thinking the income portfolio since I may need to redraw the funds in ~5 years to buyout a business partner).
I feel this question should already have an answer somewhere but I can't find it - perhaps you could link the answer?

Q: Alain Bouchard claimed this week that the proposed minimum wage raise in Ontario will result in store closings in this province. (Rossy family said it would not impact DOL) Should I be bothered by this comment ? It is also stagnant for the last year or so. Is it time to replace this stock ? More DOL perhaps ?
Q: Do you have any thoughts on Rogers Sugar. Is the dividend safe.
Thank you, Brian

Q: Hi Peter,
Could you comment on why TransCanada is holding up much better versus Enbridge during this Energy correction? I hold both equities and considering selling TRP to fund the purchase of ENB.
Thanks,
Angelo
