Q: Good Morning 5i,

We have an opening in two of our accounts.
For a 1% flyer which would you recommend: MITK or SNOW?
For a 1/2 position in our TFSA: GOOS or ATZ

Q: In the past, you often recommended CDZ as the best dividend focused ETF for Canada. However, when I look at the CDZ performance over YTD, 1 year, 2 years, and 5 years periods, this ETF clearly underperformed index ETFs such as XIU or XIC, even in total return terms (i.e. counting dividends). Unfortunately, I hold CDZ in RRSP and TFSA accounts and clearly not happy with the performance. Do you still keep CDZ in high esteem or would suggest swapping it with something else?

Q: I understand the superficial loss rule in a non-reg account. What happens when one sells a stock at a loss and buys it back within the 30 days but sells everything by year end settlement date. Thanks

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,

If already owning XHC, would the ETF TDOC serve as a complementary holding, since we're a bit low in the Health Care sector? I like its low (.35%) MER and the 2% cap on any one company, but is its AUM too low to consider? Are there any other Canadian listed ETFs that would be suitable?

Q: Hoping you can give some info on the debt situation for Ala. I know they took on a lot of debt to accomplish the big US acquisition but how well, in your opinion, are they dealing with their debt. I’ve heard someone suggest that they may sell some assets as a debt reduction strategy as well. In short, is their debt a serious issue or is their cash flow sufficient to cover debt repayments, dividends, etc.?
