Q: Hi Team,
What's your read on the short report on Block? Is the selloff justified or is it a buying opp? This is frustrating after the stock just finished getting a few upgrades with earnings and momentum starting to pick up in the name. Buy Sell or Hold after the report? Thanks
Shane.

Q: When I listen to Knight's analyst conference calls after reviewing their latest results, I am very unimpressed with management's attitude towards "just doing better". The same four executives have been at the helm for at least six years and the stock price is down by half. They are the only ones making money. I wish Goodman would clean house or maybe it's time for him to go, as well. This company is a major disappointment and needs some fresh initiatives from a brand new group. Their performance is embarrassing.
Do you think this Company, that seems to have so much potential, will ever accomplish anything beyond mediocre performance? It's time for new blood. The present team is too rich and definitely not hungry for success. What do you think?

Q: Lightspeed and Shopify seem to be trading at low valuations while still flourishing during tech's recent unpopularity.
Would you "go crazy" on either/both, go easy or avoid them? I do like to gamble and feel both will be much higher in two years. What do you think?

Q: Thoughts on ceo leaving? Is this worth a try?
Q: This is in regard to Mark's recent question and Jim's comment about TFSA trading. I use BMO Investorline and I have never experienced the issues they describe.
For my most recent trade a month ago, I sold VET and within minutes bought EIF (and no, there was no cash in the account). The transaction was just as straightforward as they are in the unregistered account - no notifications, no charges.
(Perhaps because Jim was buying a GIC rather than a stock?)

Q: With EPS of $2.96 and a forward dividend of $3.87, is there any danger BCE could cut its dividend or do they have sufficient free cash flow to cover it indefinitely?
Q: What’s the reason for the halt today ? The quarter looks like a disaster and no conference call to discuss further guidance doesn’t seem transparent at all. Is this normal during a review? Time to pack it in here ?
Q: nou for 2-3 years investment
Q: Do you think it is all clear for megacap tech from here? It would seem that a lot of energy money and now financials money is now flowing into these stocks.

Q: Retired, dividend-income investor. Following up on your answer to my earlier question. I hold AQN in an RRSP and am considering replacing it. You suggested the following stocks = PPL, NPI, BEPC, BIP.UN, BLX
I have researched their metrics (P/E, Beta, P/B, P/CF, P/S, ROE, Payout, Market Cap) and technicals. My ranking, based on a desired conservative holding, Is = PPL, NPI, BEPC, BIP.UN, BLX.
My rationale is I hold FTS, TRP and AQN representing 8.6% of my portfolio vs NNRG and NRGI at 7.3%. I am leaning towards adding a more conservative name...such as PPL.
Q#1 = Is there an overlap between TRP and PPL, to the point that I only need one? What % do each of these names have in Nat gas vs oil? I know TRP is heavier to NG, not sure about PPL.
Q#2 = based on my above notes, what would your suggested ranking be?
Thanks....Steve

Q: Any additional thoughts on WELL following the conference call yesterday? The company seems well positioned for the changes going on in Canadian health care. Thank-you.
Q: I have ZUB in my TFSA at a 6% weighting and I am down 13%.Is it a buy/hold or sell for a 1-3 year time frame.
Thank you
Thank you
Q: In your answer to a question from Bill C on Mar 22, you made the statement “Nor do RRSP account holdings”. Are you saying a T1135 form does not have to include US shares held in a RRSP or RRIF. Thanks … Cal
Q: Corby now ranks among the top 10 undervalued stocks in the Consumer Defensive sector and is trading near its 52-week low. It recently reported decent second quarter results, pays a nice dividend and carries no debt. Do you agree this is a good entry point for a small position, long-term hold in my RRIF? I am otherwise well diversified and have good liquidity.

Q: Could you please comment on the Q4. Is the future of this company improving, do the earnings projections sighted for the next two years seem achievable?
Q: Your thoughts please on the quarter ?

Q: I've been a thankful investor and long time fan of Magna but it's had many small problems and now maybe a big one if Tesla's startling production innovations and in-house sourcing policy are correctly reported onYou Tube. MG's strong point has also been innovation but Tesla is setting a fast pace and reportedly already miles ahead, maybe to the point of sustainable market dominance. Magna is $57.00 off it's high -is it worth switching to Tesla or do you see a Magna rebound? I can handle volatility in a five year time frame.

Q: Hi, I was wondering about your thoughts on Pet Valu. Would you consider it to be at a good price to start a position in this name. How would you rate it for safety and possible upside 1-10 higher being better.
Thank you!
