Looking for recommendations on getting some metals exposure into my portfolio. My risk tolerance is medium to high, looking for growth. Have been looking at TECK, CS, NMX, a few others.

Q: Teck has been hammered over the past four trading sessions. Looking at the chart, this appears to be the nastiest drop in the last year. Do you know of an underlying cause?

Q: There seems to be renewed enthusiasm for mining stocks, with the likes of Teck, Quantum and Hudbay going up like rockets. What do you think of the mining sector (excluding gold)? My impression is you've been fairly lukewarm over this in the recent past. My portfolio has a very small bit of Teck (about 1%) and am wondering if I should be putting more money into this sector.

Q: Looks like a good quarter. The company has paid down 1 billion in debt so far this year.Coal and Zinc pricing looks okay and improving.Anything else 5i sees that may show continued strength. Momemtum has definitely been in the stocks favor.

Q: Hi Guys,
If I think the US PMI data may be peaking in the next few months and we could have a global slowdown for 2017 and looking for a few bearish bets, perhaps a few short trades as well. With China now depending on more exports as well as Japan and with a big chunk of those exports coming to the US we could have the 3 largest economies in the world slowing at the same time. This would weaken the demand for crude oil and I think it could revisit the $20's once again. I'm looking for companies that can quickly get in trouble once again if the economy begins to weaken, I'm thinking Teck and Baytex? Do you agree these names will drop in the above noted scenario ?Any other names you might suggest? Looking for weak balance sheets I suppose with too much debt. Thanks
