Q: Today they dropped their drip and started a shareholder rights plan. Dividend was untouched. I am down on my holding. Since I can not drip this anymore what do you guys see with INO.UN going forward. Do you see a chance of a take over offer?

Q: I have a question about Corporate Bonds that are now deemed 'junk bonds'. Bombardier is one example.
1. Is the primary risk associated with the company going into insolvency?
2. Is there a risk, like Dividends, that the Yields on those bonds can be changed / amended later on?
3. What are your thoughts on corporate bonds like Bombardier? Are there any corporate bonds that you see as a good holding to have?

Q: Retired dividend-income investor. On the company page, Park Lawn in listed as Consumer-Cyclical. On the Monthly Income Portfolio report, it is listed as Consumer-Non-Cyclical. I would assume the latter is correct...one would think that burial services would be considered a staple. Question #1 = Please confirm your view as to the appropriate sector for PLC.

I am light on Consumers and have been wanting to top up this sector, but am thinking of staying away from the Discretionary sub-sector until things attempt to normalize over the next few months or quarters. I currently own PBH and NWC, both food companies. I used to own MG, LNF, AW and I will reconsider them again at some point, especially LNF. Question #2 = What are your thoughts about taking a new position in PLC ? I have read your March 25/20 report which concludes with a B+ rating. Some of the current metrics look ok (P/BV, P/CF, P/S, Beta, forward P/E). However, I calculate the payout ratio to be 175%...am I right? Is the dividend sustainable? I see a ROE of 1% from one source and 8% from a 2nd source. Comments please...thanks.

Q#3 = I actually need two consumer stocks that pay a dividend, ideally over 3.0%, but I'm willing to bring the threshold down to around 2.5%. Would you please rank PLC, LNF, AW, MG and any other consumer stock your filter system could identify for me to consider.

I read the Globe & Mail interview with Al Monaco this weekend and he makes no secret of the fact that Enbridge is on the hunt for an acquisition, or maybe more than one. The Spectra deal shows that he's not afraid to go big. With that in mind, could you identify some companies that might make suitable targets for Enbridge and, specifically, would Keyera belong on the list?

Q: I have stubbornly held on to this small cap oil company for years through thick and thin. It is currently heavily in the thin stage. They recently struck out on the Indonesia gas play and seem to have finally bailed on that country. On the other hand they have been upping their reserves of crude in Thailand and are sitting on a relatively large chunk of cash (it is currently trading at basically its cash balance value).
Their production costs are low and their customers in Asia pay prices on the higher end of the scale, especially since their crude quality is very sweet.
I expect some sort of return on capital (sale of remaining 50% stake in Thailand/large dividend from Thai joint venture etc.) in the foreseeable future.
Should I average cost down or finally sell and move on?

Q: Considering holding this company for the long term. What are your thoughts about it's long term viability and also, how well positioned is it for an eventually economic recovery?

Q: Long time holder of NVU.UN with almost a double on the share price. Do you think the cash deal still happens?.....and could you make a few suggestions to replace NVU.UN. Distribution on the replacement stock (or REIT) is important but also looking for some longer term price appreciation. Bit of a "crystal ball " question but looking for a place to start doing some research. Thanks Ron
