Q: Yesterday TSGI announced the mandatory conversion of preferred shares to common shares on July 18, 2018. What will be the effect of dilution on the common on this conversion? and do you expect a reduction in the MV of the common shares? Thanks.

Q: I notice that David Rosenberg will be on Bnn this Friday with Andrew McCreath.
On May 19 He published an article in The Globe & Mail stating that Trumponomics will cause the next recession within the next 12 months.
If he is correct, am I right in assuming that interest rates will then to begin to decline , eventually leading to better prices down the road for the bond proxies?
Could you recomend from your portfolios the best recession proof companies with a history of regularly increasing their dividends?

I recently sold some of the above, directly (I'm with BMO Investorline), at $122 and had no problem whatsoever. This was my second such transaction in the last month, and I've never waited more than 3 days to sell, always at a rate just OVER the going price (didn't really care if they sold or not).

I own CSU DB that I wish to sell. However, I cannot sell these directly but only through my broker (TD). However, my requests to sell these have failed several times. Presume the DB are thinly traded. Presently listed at $ 124.25.
What is your recommendation that may result in a sale. Offer for e.g. $ 115.00 and not as a day order but rather with an open time.

Q: HI Peter,
I asked about Knight in a previous question but I did not get a clear answer. Perhaps, you are tired of answering the same type of questions. The main question from my end is why are analysts not putting pressure on Knight? Normally, with other stocks, there are sells, hold etc but for gud, i don't see alot of press. Please clarify. I understand that cannabis valuations are very high, but when i look at Hydropothecary, they have signed deals in Quebec and basically has a large share going forward, yet this company in comparison to others like Canopy do not get much attention. Canopy is much bigger but does it deserve 7 times the market cap than Hydropothecary? Can you please shed light on this? I wonder if it is the same situation is Organigrams which is finally getting some attention. Lastly, do you feel tech stocks have had a good run (i.e shopify), spotify etc and it is time to take some profits. Thanks again.

Once a while 5i Research Blog has posted some articles from Mr. Nick Mccallum. I am wondering how is his Sure Dividend track records. Does 5i Research endorse Nick Mccallum’s recommendations. Like most recent one, he give 5 best dividend stocks in S&P 500 (IVZ, AMAT, T, WBA, CAH) to buy. I would like to know your thought for these 5 stocks. To me the wording sounds promotional.
