Q: Can you suggest utility stocks to hold for the long term? I currently own capital power, Enbridge and Brookefield infrastructure.

I noted TA is a best stock recommendation but is it too much overlap with CPX?

Q: I am deficient in utilities. I would like to purchase one Canadian company in the sector. Could you rank these 5 companies (you can add to the list if I missed a good company) with a brief explanation for your choice. I am looking at total return (gains + dividends).

Q: I hold balanced positions in Google, Microsoft, META, Apple, Netflix, NVDA and Amazon. They have all pulled back.

What order would you be adding to these positions?

Are there any that you would not be adding too in the current volatile market?

Q: The big 6 Canadian Banks? I do not know why many investors have an aversion to the banks? Over the last 15 years the capital appreciation and dividend compounding have been second to none. I own a good portion in my varied portfolios and all have performed extremely well with the exception of BNS. I have a friend who invested 15 years ago in the banks $1.5 M - now over $8M and generate a lot of income for him. I think he owns now about 40,000 shares. I think most if not all portfolios should contain a good helping of the Canadian banks. He is my age 77 YO.

Q: I keep reading how the S&P is trading at high values compared to historical values and because of that is risky. do you think that etfs that track the S%P 500 (e.g. ZSP) are more risky than a mid-cap ETF such as ZMID or XMC which are trading at their historical values?

Q: With the recent news and huge share price drop due to "indictment charging several individuals, including a Super Micro co-founder and board member, a sales manager, and a contractor, of “conspir[ing] to divert billions of dollars” of servers illegally to China in violation of export controls"

1) Is this a good buying opportunity if the investing time horizon is 3+ years?
2) does this recent news affect the future earnings potential of this company?
