Q: Greetings 5i, what is your opinion on BRP's strategic plan that was presented in early October? Is the company at an inflection point in terms of growth? Thank you.
Q: What are your favorite stocks in the infrastructure space, one each in Canada and the U.S. and also is there an etf in this area that you like?
Thank you
Q: Hi crew, could I get your thoughts on Sekur partnering with Quaestor Federal Consulting as well as some of their other moves? I haven't seen any quarter result numbers that support this company breaking out, do you?
Thx,
Kevin
Q: What are your thoughts on ASP Isotope’s latest quarter? The share price has taken a hit and is back at early 2025 levels. Do you think it has potential as a speculative small cap?
Q: I currently own all of the above in various porfolios. In a concentrated TSFA which 3 from your balanced portfolio would you buy for long term. Currently own GLXY and PRL at great loss in TSFA would you add?
Thank you.
Q: What do you think about VIG, VDC annnd PPA as defensive purchases and is this time to think about adding defensive positions to a portfoliio? Do you have any suggestions for a defensive play?
Q: Do you still like HSTR? To my layman’s eyes it seems to be “firing on all cylinders”. Thinking of selling my GOT to make the purchase. HSTR plots better than GOT, it has a higher market capitalization and it is already profitable. I believe it’s mines are all located in Mexico so there is some potential robbery/extortion issues I suppose. Any other comparative negatives?
Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
Jim
Q: My question is about a TFSA. If I placed the maximum $ 102,000 into a TFSA, and now withdraw all of it , let's say $122,000. Can I replace all the money, or would i be limited by the maximum.
What about if my TFSA didn't do well, and I withdraw all of it say 80,000. , and close the TFSA. How much money could I deposit into new TFSA?
Q: Your portfolio manager(s) on the Growth portfolio have been very active lately. I own a lot of the growth but a bunch of new names have come up and I don't have room for all of them
Can you please prioritize of those names listed above which ones offer the best growth over the next 5 years.
Can you please list in order of highest to lowest conviction.
Q: Looking at the question by Michael on Jacobs today I see a company having 2026 net revenue growth of 6-10 % but a PE of 54 ! Sure it’s a fine company in a good sector but does it really deserve a PE of 54 ? Other solid companies in Canada with historically high PE ‘s such as TRI , WSP , and FSV etc., seem to be going through a valuation revision downward. The question is will the revised valuation remain or will the premium valuation return ? Your thoughts. Thanks. Derek.
Q: Have been following this interesting stock for a while now and would love a breakdown of it's merits and outlook and would you recommend a small position?
Q: There appears to be something wrong with the Market Cap amount on your report. TMX is saying there are 50M Total shares(All Classes) and 493M (Issued and outstanding shares). Quote Media is saying the are 493M shares. The 50M number multiplied by the Latest price gets the market cap on 5i and Quote Media of 383M. The 493M number multiplied by the latest price gets about $3.8B market cap which is shown on TD Cowen and Yahoo. Both numbers are shown on TMX. It would seem there is an error in the Total Shares at one of the data sources? I just noticed by chance as I use MC as a screening criteria and the 383M number didn't feel correct.
Q: Good morning!
I do realise this is a high risk company, and that they are selling off hotels trying to get their financial situation improved.
However, they just reported completion of an NCIB ending December 2025, where they actually purchased about 10% of their float. They have renewed the NCIBsame for the next year. That to me is interesting, suggesting that they do actually believe their current stock price is lower than it should be. Can you have a look and let me know your thoughts about what might be the future prospects for them? ... Thanks! Paul K
Q: I must shortly divest part of my RRIF to meet legal requirements.
I would like to retain those stocks with the best longer term appreciation expectations.
My candidates for sale are:
AAPL currently overweighted
CNQ
SU
Visa currently underweighted
What would be your suggestion(s)?
Q: ATD: own small position - 1000 shs in NON-registered - shares have been stagnant for quite a while. Thinking of selling and buying CJT or TFII for turn around. Comments please.
