Q: Good morning,
There was a fair bit of insider trading in QST in late January when the shares were around $5. Now they are trading at $1.29. Do insiders still have a solid stake in the company? Also, the shares of XBC, which seems to be in a comparable business to QST, have held up better, especially since they were declared an essential business by the Province of Quebec and have maintained operations there. Is XBC a better investment than QST at this point in time?

Q: The valuations on companies with a favourable ESG component are lofty at best. Do you see any in this sector that are still reasonably priced? A dividend would be preferable.
Thanks for your consideration.

Q: Hi 5i Team. Thanks for your great service.
With all the renewed hype with regards to green/ESG companies, is there a need to own all of the above companies or do their services overlap? Which ones would you own?

Thanks

Dave.

Q: Hi 5iR team, Many brokerage houses start each New Year by attempting to consolidate their best stock ideas for the year in a comprehensive list.....their Conviction List. I'm wondering if I may ask 51R to do the same? If I was to canvas the 5iR Staff stock experts what would the majority agree on to be your best 5 stock ideas, give or take a few, for 2020? Thanks team. Chris

Q: Investing in companies that are directly involved in the climate change space seems to be a big investment growth theme and that may explain the good performance of these stocks over the last while. New Flyer is included because of their electric bus component. Successful companies ought to see growing valuations.

Q: More and more I’m seeing news such as the recent European Central Bank announcement their investment decisions will be guided by concerns around climate change. Following this theme, I’m interested in a ground floor (albeit risky) position for my TFSA, where tax-free growth is my only consideration. Could you discuss the relative merits of these 2 companies.
