Q: Hello 5i team,
I was thinking of taking advantage of this SVB fiasco by adding to my BNS shares.

I mainly hold BNS for income and was wondering what was the payout ratio at this time? Has the ratio increased over the past few years (BNS shares declined ~30% from its all-time-highs in the past year)? How comfortable are you in adding for income purposes?

Q: In some interesting reading sent to my inbox by 5i, one of the articles by Joe Wiggins talked about long or short term investing and I see by the bar graph, if you are a one year investor it was a 55% return and if you left the investment for 10 years, it would be a 15% return. Q: I really like the look of this company's juicey dividend,but i am concerned about the trend of all the doctor's (mine included)even though the pandemic for the most part completely over they are still doing a lot of telephone appointments, and the need for office and clinic's i would think can only decline going forward in our digital world.
Maybe i am overthinking this but this, looks like a good entry point, your thoughts would this be a buy for a2-3 year hold,,,Thanks

Q: What is the free cash flow yield? And doesn't this signal that this is very cheap at the moment?

Q: CSTL Could you comment on earnings, revs are up 53 %, they guided to almost double them by 2025. Business here looks good. Cash flow did decrease based on acquisitions... is this a company building a profitable, invest-able future? Your thoughts?

Q: Hi 5i, can you please give me details on these preferred as I have looked and cant find much at all. Were they issued at $50 and is there a perpetual preferred here as I'm currently looking for those not the resets. I'm assuming these are preferred shares and not debentures.

Q: I noticed something in your answer to a question asked by Dan (not me) on Mar 10th about AutoCanada (ACQ). You said that ACQ has $1.9 billion of debt and that it was a major concern. Looking at their financial statements and the press release pertaining to the quarterly report, I think some clarification is in order. In the press release, ACQ states that their net indebtedness is $443.8 million at year end, and that, quote:

"our net indebtedness leverage ratio1 of 2.1x remained well below our target range at the end of Q4 2022".

Quite a substantial difference between their number and the $1.9 billion you mention. Looking at the financial statements, the difference comes from your number including the floorplan financing of approx $1 billion, which is something dealerships use to finance their inventory and is paid back as cars sell, and leases of approx $500 million.

Management seems to feel their debt levels are OK. Wondering if your comment that the debt is a "major concern" is somewhat overstating things.
