Q: Abundance Canada can facilitate a donation of stocks for a 1% fee. They also use TD Direct Trading so it usually takes less than a week.

Q: I was a holder of equity precursors of GROY:US (it's the amalgamation of multiple entities) and am well aware of the previous companies, holdings, streaming positions etc. I am surprised to see it's downward trajectory in the face of strong Au pricing and the upward movement (now) in gold stocks. Could you provide some insight into what might be causing GROY:US to be drifting down at this time?

Q: Hello Peter and team,
Would you prefer VOO or VTI at this time? Also, is there an etf in canadian dollars (tsx) that mimics VTI similar to xsp on tsx and SPY? Thanks very much.

Q: Please comment on the potential of these biotech companies. Are some of them a good buy at their current prices?

Q: Looking at these for my TFSA and for me it’s a tough call. GSY is getting more reasonable price wise but could rising interest rates hurt it ? MG is
cheap but supply chains are clogged and materials getting scarcer and more expensive.
Which would be your pick and why ?
Thanks. Derek

Q: Hi, I see the demand case for PBH.to. But I'm cautious on the company because I don't understand how inflation might eat their lunch (bad pun). Do they have any fingers in the food production, or are they just a taker of input prices? If so aren't their margins going to get squeezed here as meat and grain input costs rise? I'm guessing there is a limit to how much they can raise their prices to stores before the demand side?

Q: Could you please comment on this new fund. There is quite a difference in the price of the series and ETF, could you explain. It's not showing a dividend yet, but on their site it says it has a target distribution of 5%. Would this be an appropriate fund for an income investor, or do think just buying a few Co.'s would be better? If so which ones? What do you think of Nine Point Energy, and would you agree with Eric Nutall's comment that the party in oil and gas has just begun, despite the large gains we have seen recently? Thanks so much for your service.

Q: I am new to 5i and signed up for a trial membership. Looking at your various portfolios, there is a note at the top which show changes - x% added to ABC, My question is where is the money for that purchase coming from? Is it supposed to be new cash deployed or selling an existing holding for new purchases. Please elaborate.

Basically, I want to know if I have to keep in sync with a recommended portfolio, how do I go about it on an ongoing basis.

Do you send an update via email when a change happens?

Q: Wondering what 3 or 4 Canadian stocks you would choose to buy in a non registered account now, waiting for a full economic re opening and a settlement on the Russia -Ukraine conflict?
Seems energy, financials and materials are at highs. Tech is beaten up.
MG and SHOP come to mind. Any others you would suggest?
Thanks
jeff

Q: In an income portfolio, currently hold CSH.UN at full position and thinking to sell outright to replace with 1/2 positions in AW.UN and SYZ to replace yield and add diversification. What are your thoughts on the move? Does it increase risk?

Q: I am thinking about starting a position in these 3 names. Do you support or would you wait for some sort of stability returning to the market. I almost bought SHOP a few weeks ago when It was much higher - It's very volatile. I am down on many other positions but luckily my exposure to growth was not very high. Thank you for all your work and guidance in this difficult market.

Q: Hello Peter,
Thank you for your suggestion to have some silver in the portfolio. It got life just when I was considering an exit . This question is also somewhat related.
I am beginning to think that Energy and Commodities have got significant room to run this summer. I am overweight technology and overweight semiconductors within. All my favorite growth stocks besides UPST.
To increase my portfolio in energy and commodities I need to reduce technology including names like NVDA AMAT GOOG etc. I am thinking that the tech sector will not react violently to the upside and there will be sufficient time to rotate back from energy and commodities.
However, I also feel that just when I throw in the towel, the market will find support and bounce back. I do believe in their long term future but perhaps not a bad idea to trade the trend for now. I am on the fence with financials too at the moment, what with the war, asset freezes, bans and Powell tempering his tone.
What would you suggest to me.
Regards
Rajiv
