Q: Morning 5i team,
Thanks for all your great advice to help grow our portfolios.
I own some URI and looks like it’s stalled and looking to sell that and buy one of the following, COST, TT, WMT, CAT or HD.
What are your thoughts on that move or would you put it somewhere else?

Q: Good morning,

What an amazing job done here. My son is enrolled in a private school starting this year.

I'd like to tailor my non-registered to an income account to cover his monthly payments with capital preservation in mind.

I am comfortable with any and all options including covered call.

Rough metrics for this are 120k. Yielding 6% and greater.

Thank you very much.

Q: Hi. I currently own ABBV, AMZN, AXON, COST, GOOG, LLY, MSFT, NVDA, VRT in a cash account and have money for one more new stock with medium risk tolerance focused on growth. Your top 5 suggestions, regardless of sector would be appreciated.

Q: Hi there, I recently asked “ Can you suggest any principal-protected US ETFs? For parking USD cash to earn a yield in a securities account. (The only product I can think of that has this profile is a HISA ETF.)”

Seems like there is no HISA equivalent in the US from your response. What is the next best thing that is US listed? A money market fund? If so which would you suggest?

Thanks!

Q: Hello
I'm looking to include this company in my rrsp account. I would like to hear your analytical opinion on holding this long term. I am however curious to know how can they pay such a juicy dividend when most of their holdings pay less in distribution and has been lagging in the markets lately. Finaly, is this something you could see yourself including in an income portfolio.

Q: Hi Peter and Staff

I currently have 9% of my portfolio in O&G (excluding pipelines) and only 1% in materials (NTR)

-would you suggest I drop my O&G a bit to add a miner ?

-if so would you suggest FCX , TECK.B for a long term hold or another name?

Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: Hi 5i Team - In your answer to a previous question you mentioned First Solar and Next Tracker as two of your preferred companies in the solar energy field. Are there any others in Canada or the U.S. including small and mid-caps that you think have potential. They don't have to be profitable at this point but should have decent fundamentals. Thanks.

Q: I have a stock that's gone to zero in my TFSA; I assume this is the one my brokerage is referring to when they say "You hold some securities that may be subject to CTO...etc etc.. you may apply to gift each security to TD Direct Investing".
The stock's already been delisted. What do they want with it and how does it help the account holder? In this case, it doesn't help me at all, does it?

Q: Hi Peter, I have 3 shares of CSU and wish I had more, my average cost is about $1100.00. With some of the valuations of these high flyers MSFT, NVDA etc. being so high could this bubble burst at some point and I was thinking of selling some shares in companies I own to get enough cash to add to my CSU position. Is that still wise even if it is at 4000.00 dollars. Thanks

Q: I have a large (15-20%) holding in CSU, as it has grown really well. They say to keep running with your winners; as I continue investing, would it be better to continue slowly adding to my CSU position, or to work on diversifying my portfolio? If diversify, I am obviously looking for other stocks that will compound at a high level over the long term. At today's valuations, in which order would 5i recommend buying these other stocks? Similarly, to diversify, does it make sense to sell some CSU to reinvest in any of these other stocks? Thank you so much!
