Q: VET is my worst performing oil stock, and I’m thinking of selling as a tax loss harvest. Which stock would you buy as it’s replacement? I’m thinking of perhaps NNRG? Do you agree with this strategy? Do you have another “better” replacement?

Q: Hi 5i! May I please have your thoughts on Canadian Premium Sands (CPS)? Thank you!
Q: Hello 5i,
Aqn had an investor day earlier in the week. I understand they plan to spend $12 billion out to 2026 on new capital projects. While the expansion plans should be good for the growth of the company:
1)will getting the financial backing for these projects put pressure on the stock price and
2)will it put a cap on the dividend growth plans within the next 5 years?
Tia!

Q: I am down about 15% on Tourmaline and am considering selling for tax loss reasons. Is there a good proxy to hold for for the 30 day period before repurchasing? Or would consider just holding on?
Thanks

Q: FTS is at all times highs while BEP is down 33% from the highs. Why the big discoonect?
Q: I struggle with the whole concept of "green".
The whole thing is driven by politics, not market forces.(making "dirty" fuels artificially expensive so that subsidized "green" energy can compete).
Here is my question: Yes, there are strong ideologies pushing this, but unless "we" adopt socialist command economy wholesale, market forces must eventually prevail?
"Green stocks/ ETFs are up, but buying them seems to me betting on a lame horse.
Would appreciate your take on this, and also if holding BAM.A could be considered a compromise. They seem to be gung- ho for "green" investments. Am also looking at PBW, but don't like the price.
My interest in this subject is limited yo next ~5 years.
Thank you

Q: Hi team,
With the uncertainty around the latest Covid variant and possible lockdowns and border closures feels like GXE's stock price is under pressure.Thinking longer term, three to six months would it be a good tactical decision to accumulate the shares at this price?Or would it be nest to sit on the sidelines and wait this through?
Many thanks,
Jean

Q: It's curious that Fortis seems to be thriving in December despite the market being spooked about impending interest rate hikes. None of the other utilities seem to have benefited. To what do you attribute their upward momentum and would you buy a utility today given likely interest rate hikes?
