Q: I've been following Southern copper for a while. How safe is the dividend and is the stock at fair market value? Would you consider adding to the site acronyms that are commonplace in investing jargon? Also an explanation of what each means and how they are calculated. For example price to equity or fomo. As an older investor I'd like to be able to keep up with their current terms and meanings. Thanks Steve.

Q: Given the possibility of a recession and the certainty of volatility for the next couple years, can you give me 4 CDN and 4 US stocks/etf's, you think might provide some safety and reliable, albeit moderated returns? The equities I've listed are my ideas.
Q: You mentioned that oil and gas was the best sectors to invest in right now. What companies would suggest that we could buy right now.
Could you name a few.
Enjoy the long weekend. Thanks, as always

Brookfield Renewable Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BEPC)
Q: BEPC/BEP.UN seems to be one of your darlings in utility/renewables sector and you have been highly recommending it for a combination of growth and income. However, it's one of the worst performing stocks in my portfolio in the past two months and I'm wondering what's wrong with it (or what's changed)? The stock is down 20% while others either just declined slightly (e.g. EQN) or even had gains (e.g. FTS). It looks like, during recent selloff, the BEPC stock is behaving more like a technology stock rather than a utility. Do you have any explanation for such a big drop? Are you still considering this company one of the best utility/renewables investments? Thanks.
Q: Given the current environment and momentum do you see Topaz as a buy at this point a how would you compare it to Enbridge for income?
Q: Hello 5i, Could you comment on CNQ as to the possibility of a share split and if they have split there shares previously. Thanks

Q: Please recommend, especially during this uncertain economic times, two to three Consumer Staple stocks to hold, again for longer than 5 years. My aim is 5 % yield but I do understand that yields for good quality companies are usually low. I would be happy to invest in those with really strong growth down the road. This is what I have compiled with: NWC, PBH, ATD, EMP.a, L, MRU. By all means, please include ones that you feel would serve this purpose.
Thank you again for your insight. Roger

I am looking for your recommendations on good dividend paying stocks. Stocks which have come under pressure due to market conditions. Stocks that are low risk and do not have high debt. I am mostly interest in income stocks but would also like a stock that would give me some capital gains. I have listed these and would appreciate rating these. Please also provide me with any other tickers you feel would fit my needs here which I may not have thought about.
Thank you.

Q: Numerous US stocks are now showing low PE's and high yields; Citi for example.
What would be your top 3 yield focussed picks for the medium term (3-5 years)?
i.e. safe dividend going forward currently paying well above its normal yield ?
