Q: What are some companies that are sitting on cash which they can easily deploy to acquire other companies on the cheap? Would ECN and GUD be on this list?
Q: Hello Peter,
i am starting to realize, buying stocks based on previous success does not always work out as in Knights and Topicus case. However, i was wondering with current environment, is it a good idea to initiate a position in Knight with hope of good returns in future as i see little downside.. Please let me know . i am thinking of selling TOI, for Gud. Thanks
Q: Please delve into the various components of Knight's quarterly results published this morning including sales, eps, cash position, ebitda, etc.
They still need a big deal to propel them but did this quarter signal an emergence from the previously perpetual doldrums?
Thank you.
Q: Ignoring company size and sector diversification, can you please rank these stocks on a best to worst risk / reward basis for long term hold. I own them all in various accounts with a half position or less so my plan would be to let some go and increase position in others with better potential. Any of them you consider good buy at the moment? Thank you!
Q: G2S2 Capital just announced they now own over ten percent of Knight Therapeutics. Can you tell us anything about them other than the obvious that they have a lot of patience? Thanks.
Q: Would GUD make an "interesting" investment in the current environment?
I've noticed that it held fairly well (pretty much flat) compared with its sector (down a lot), and also large amounts of share buybacks and insider buying signaling that management is confident in the company.
Q: Did the large group of short sellers get slaughtered this morning when TherapeuticsMD announced the sale of their company for $10/share - up 354%!
Will this provide any material benefit to Knight Therapeutics as a shareholder and as a distributor of some of TXMD's products?
Thanks.
Q: I had planned on removing both of these stocks after 5i discontinued them. Unfortunately, I waited too long on and am now down 75% on REAL and 10% on GUD. I heard a speaker on BNN Bloomberg recently say that it is too late to sell stocks that declined since the fall 2021. My question is - should I continue to hold these stocks if I don't plan to use the cash from their sale to purchase anything new (they will stay in cash)? Is there any hope that they can improve?
thanks as always for your help
Q: Hello 5i team,
I was wondering if you listened in on the phone conference with knight therapeutics? If so, is there anything they plan on doing that would move the stock in the coming year?
Q: SWP: It's been a long time since their last report. I understood they would be reporting last week. Does this seem like a sign that I should sell before the news?
GUD: They have been buying back shares for years. Is there reason to believe they are preparing for privatization? In the past year they bought more than $3M in shares. Insiders bought modestly; no sells.
Q: I sold my GUD shares and would like to use this cash to add to either LSPD 1.7 % , SIS 3.4% , TIXT 1.1%. Which one would you add first or should I add to all 3? This is for a TFSA account.
