Q: What do you think of the depositary receipts. For example CIBC is offering receipts directly linked to google shares. They say they are hedged receipts so the number of shares they represent changes based on exchange values. That doesn’t seem to be a good thing, a real hedge should not be affected by currency fluctuations, no?

Q: Your thoughts on continuing to hold LUN with the CEO leaving at year end (although supposedly continuing in an advisory capacity for a further year) and replacement being someone without operational experience in the mining industry, which seems to be an issue for Lundin these days. It also appears few Board members have operational experience according to recent Globe article.

Q: Good morning,

My plan is to purchase $50K of BX:US in my US$ non registered account but have insufficient US$ in my US$ non registered account to complete the transaction.

To save on the currency exchange cost, I'm thinking of purchasing approx $60K of ENB.CA and then journal the stock to my US$ non registered account.
Once ENB:CA has been journaled to my US$ non registered account, I would then sell the ENB:US stock and purchase BX:US for a long term hold.

Question1: Is ENB:CA a good candidate for this strategy?
Question 2: What are your thoughts on purchasing BX:US for a long term hold?

Q: Hi, for my TFSA I primarily hold small dividend with steady growth companies, to keep things somewhat stable. STC is the exception. I have room for one more company.
With that in mind could you suggest 3 stocks that may fit in with what i already have, keeping sector diversity in mind. ( I also have ATD.B in another account)
