Q: It appears that PRL reports and pays in USD. I hold it in a registered account. Trading on a US exchange is low volume. Do you suggest that I keep it on the CAD side or move it to the US side of my account?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i,
I've held a stake in KEY in my RRIF since the 2020 meltdown, which is now up considerably. I'd always told myself I would divest 1/3 of it if it reached $40, and it looks like that may happen pretty much anytime. What would be your top 3 non O&G, non-utility suggestions to replace that 1/3 of KEY (which currently yields 9.48% based on my cost base). Primarily I'm looking for income, but some growth is always nice too. Aside from the exceptions noted above, sector allocation isn't a concern for me.
Or would you suggest that based on KEY's fundamentals and the healthy yield I enjoy I should set my target higher - perhaps $45.00 - and wait a while longer before divesting a portion?
Thanks for your input,
Peter

Do you think that Google will actually be forced to break up? If so, do you think that the share price will go down significantly?
Cheers,

Q: I suppose you are now used to your subscribers thinking you have the answer to absolutely everything financial and often otherwise. It's partially your own fault because you do such a good job of replying to the questions. So let me join the club of way-out speculators seeking your views on this headline in the Financail Post today:
CRTC expands ruling to allow smaller internet providers access to Bell and Telus fibre networks
Can you put your gage on this throbbing issue and speculate on the financial impact on the two internet service providers?
Many thanks.

Q1 = When is BHP's Jansen potash mine scheduled to come on line? I read late 2026....does that match your sources?
Q2 = More importantly, when will the Jansen mine start-up be expected to impact world supply-demand stock pricing?
Thanks...Steve

Q: I was on the verge of selling CAE until seeing that it had taken a recent jump in price in the last couple of days.
Could this mean the company's promise is finally coming to some fruition?
Would you recommend continuing with selling it as part of a portfolio clean-up or waiting and seeing if there is renewed hope on the horizon for this company?
Thanks as always.

Q: Hello 5i,
We sold two stocks that had were poor performers but they improved in the past few months in our RRSP. Can you rank the following stocks to purchase if we were to initiate a 1/4 position today for a 5-year hold? Our intention is to start 2 or 3 positions to see where they go, and add funds to the best two over time.
Would the ranking be the same for a TFSA or non-reg account?
Thank you
D&J

Global X Canadian Select Universe Bond Index Corporate Class ETF (HBB $48.91)
-
Global X Cash Maximizer Corporate Class ETF (HSAV $115.78)
Q: Hello 5i Team
1 - HBB
Global X's webpage for Global X Canadian Select Universe Bond Index Corporate Class ETF (HBB) lists the following fees:
Management Fee - 0.09 % + applicable sales tax
Management Expense Ratio - 0.10 %
Trading Expense Ratio - 0.15 %
Swap Fee - No more than 0.15 %
Therefore are the maximum total fees that I would pay for HBB as follows:
Management Expense Ratio + Trading Expense Ratio + Swap Fee
0.10 % + 0.15 % + 0.15 % = 0.40 %
2 - HSAV
As HSAV is also a corporate class fund why would Global X not list a swap fee for HSAV?
Thanks
