Q: PWF's investment in fintec (wealthsimple) as weĺl as their dividend looks interesting for a 5 to 10 year hold. The reorganization with POW also looks to have potential to unlock value and increase dividends. Do you recommend investing a full position at this time and if so, in which company. Alternatively, is there a better investment in fintec?

Q: This is more an observation rather than a question. On January 10th 2020 the Wall street Journal had a piece on the harmful practice of flaring natural gas. It referred to only one company and that was Questor. The CEO was referred to twice and also quoted.

Q: I currently a small amount of GDX and GLD. I would like to increase my gold holdings a bit. Is there a stock you recommend? I am wondering about ABX or GOLD, if you like those, and is GOLD better than the CAD ABX? Or do you prefer another gold stock?
Also, is this a good time to buy silver? If so, would you recommend a stock or an ETF, CAD or US? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and 5i:
May I have your opinion about the MG Outlook statement today. The EPS growth will come from share buybacks for the foreseeable future (3 years)? 5i went to half position in September 2019 in Balanced portfolio. Would you still hold MG going forward at a half position? MG has had nice dividend increases and do you anticipate this would continue?

Q: I have owned Boyd for the past year in a non registered account and have realized capital gains due to the conversion this month. I also own GIL in the same account. Just wondering for tax loss selling if I should sell GIL now to offset the Boyd gain a bit. I intend to buy back GIL after the 30 days. Q: Peter; With the recent cold snaps and heavy snow would this not benefit Boyd more than usual. I live in the Vancouver area and ICBC has had over 14,000 accident claims in the past three days - and now NL is getting plus many US
regions.
