And yet you picked BAM stock. Why is that?

Q: I have noticed that the real estate ETFs have been languishing over the last 10 years. What is your view of the real estate ETFs over the next 5 years? Under what conditions will these ETFs do well? What type of real estate ETFs do you expect to do well (domestic vs international, commercial vs residentical, etc.)?

Please recommend a North American and an international ETF which you feel could do well over the next 5 years. What percent of a portfolio would you recommend include real estate for diversification purposes?

Q: The stock has declined 10 - 15 %, since the comment on the merger. Question 1 - was it all around good deal for PRMW. Question 2 - When is this merger suppose to take place. Question 3 - What is the remainder of the year 2025 look like.

Q: A follow up question to my earlier Q wrt Brookfield Companies.

Can I have you views between BIPC.CA and BIP.UN.CA. I believe they are basically the same company, is this assumption correct??

BIP.UN is a Limited Partnership where BIPC is a corporation, what is the difference, is it mostly how taxes are managed, I know the unit pricing and dividends are different. I will be holding in my RRSP, is one better than the other for this registered account

Q: I am concerned that over the next few years, the US dollar will gradually lose its reserve currency status. Currently, the US dollar is high relative to other Western currencies. Can you please suggest a way that I can track the value of the US dollar relative to not only Western currencies, but to those of the BRICs, emerging markets, etc.. My view is that once the US dollar starts to weaken, then the value of gold, commodities, and emerging markets will increase. Do you agree with this hypothesis?

Q: Regarding my question yesterday about a hedged ETF for either Nasdaq or S&P500: You suggested ZSP, but it appears to be not hedged. For a hedged suggestion would you pick XSP-T or another choice please?

After the sell off of the last couple days now what are 3 of your favourite Canadian stocks you would be keen on buying today for a long term hold, regardless of sector ranked best to least. Also if there are any US names available as cdrs that are good buys today after some extreme selling I would be interested in those to.

Q: Hi, The stock has been on a precipitous decline, almost every single day( Down over 35%, from post earnings high ) and can's seem to find a floor. The earnings were considered to be spectacular, but what spooked the market, perhaps was the owners' sale of 2.8 mln shares @ $17.31, being 8.5% below the prevailing market price, causing a surge of sellers and profit takers.

Most of the infrastructure/steel fabricators companies stocks are doing excellent, but DRX happens to be an outlier. Should this be a red flag and a concern ?

5i recently bumped the stock weight in the Growth Portfolio to 2.5%, which speaks of your conviction.

Do you see the market sentiment shifting and stock trading back to its recent high, any time soon?

Q: There is the usual 15% withholding tax on the interest received from this TBIL. Is this tax recoverable at income tax time? If not, can you suggest a fund or ETF where there is no withholding tax? Thank you. cheers

Q: Hi,

Your faith in resurgence of Small caps seem to be paying off! IWM is on a tear, eh?! However an article in Barron's seem to suggest that it is bit early to dive into Small caps!

Having said that, can you suggest some LOW COST Small cap ETFs both in the US and the rest of the world. If you want to give some for growth and some for value, it will be appreciated.
