Q: Hello Peter,
These two stocks are the dogs in my portfolio and am not sure they will recover in a few years to get my money back. I was thinking of adding to BN, but was wondering if gold would be a better choice. I am just worried as gold is quite high and it could do the same as two i own when the whole world was talking about green energy. Gold could do a reversal .Instead of adding to BN, what would you recommend for gold exposure.. any thoughts please? Also, any comments on why Lumine group continues to slide? Appreciate it

Q: If I hold NBIS and NVDA am I concentrating the same sector? My understanding is that NBIS owns hardware and "rents" or sells the use of that hardware. Who completes with NBIS? Is it Amazon and Google?

These seem, individually, as great companies but if AI sentiment shifts or another game-changing breakthrough happens it could be painful. Thoughts?

Q: I was reviewing INVH for income because portfolio is excessively growth oriented. INVH seemed to me well-positioned with good prospects for price appreciation. I also thought INVH could be a good inflation hedge. It seems I am wrong on all the above. The value of INVH shares is down by more than 12% over 6 months, and down by over 16% in the past year. Is something wrong with the business? Or do you attribute poor share performance to negative sentiment? The latter seems too simplistic a reason however. But if it really is just sentiment , do you expect investor attitudes to grow warmer towards boring income producing companies? Like many other investors, I continue to stay dangerously in love with growthy tech. I have been trying hard to shake off the addiction.

Is INVH a good candidate to offset a growth-oriented ‘portfolios? If not INVH, then do you have other suggestions for income ?
If not real estate , for income, under current conditions do you prefer mature slower growth dividend payers over REITs? ( I have no clue on bonds). I would appreciate suggestions on conservative income-producing securities that you like that are available at reasonable prices currently (US, Europe, UK). Prices to buy below at are *always* helpful .

Q: Hi. Have you had a look at NPCE, Neuropace? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Same question for ONWD, Onward medical.

Are there any other publicly traded companies that are involved the emerging brain computer interface space? I know that Alphabet has invested in neuralink, but are there other larger companies that have funded startups in the area that you are aware of? Thank-you.

Q: HI guys,

On CNBC last week Michael Saylor discussed MSTR and one of the things he mentioned was it was designed to be 2X BTC movement.

I'm talking short term history here, not over years.

In the past 5 days Mstr is -1.32%, 1 month it is -15.96% and the past 3 months it is - 13.43%

However BTC has performed past 5 days +4.67%, 1 month - 2.31% and 3 month +11.1%.

As you can see BTC has outperformed MSTR quite substantially over the recent past.

Why would you think this is happening? Is the MSTR trade done? What do you reccomend for BTC exposure?

Thanks

Sheldon

Q: I know both are spinoffs from CSU and involved in “vertical” software. And both have done well.

What is the difference between the 2 companies?
Do they compete against each other in any way?
Which of the 2 should have the better growth prospects?

Thanks.

Q: Regarding your recent portfolio changes:

- what is the best metric for determining whether or not Tantalus Systems is good value at current levels ?

- I was surprised by the AI disruption note in your commentary for CGI. I thought they were to benefit from AI. Maybe I misunderstood (?)

- By trimming NTR and adding L in the balanced portfolio, are you suggesting there is more upside with L ?

Q: I have benefitted from your service and am happy I discovered it. It has enabled me to buy stocks you have a high conviction in while there is still significant upside.

The additional area that I think would benefit subscribers is to advise when you are cooling on previously recommended stocks.

In some instances, I have held recommended stocks well past their best before date, resulting in losses where there were previously gains.

Some old flavour of the day stocks that come to mind are ecn, goos, toy.

I know you actively manage the model portfolios, and that it's ultimately my responsibility to manage my own portfolio, but I know it would help me (and perhaps others), to understand in a more timely manner when a high conviction stock not in the model portfolio moves from a Strong Buy to a Hold or Sell.

I'm identifying a need, but don't know how this would work. Thanks for considering.
