Q: Over the years I have built up our position in V, to the point that today I have 4X more invested with V than PYPL, all within an overall appropriate allocation. Would you advise to rebalance between the two, with a view to long term growth - more like 50-50, or what would you advise?

Q: Hi 5i gang,
I suspect that travel-related stocks are at their bottoms or nearly so. My impression is that airlines will be first sub-sector to rally, especially if the U.S. government goes ahead and sends them big stimulus checks that are being rumoured about these days. Given this context, which airline companies in your opinion have the best prospects of returning to their prior Covid-19 levels?

Q: What is your opinion on using VCIP as a 'slightly riskier than cash' investment vehicle for a holding period of 6-12 months? It is obviously riskier than HISAs/GICs/PSA, but do you think it is riskier than XSB/VSB/HFR? There is an equity component to VCIP, but given its greater diversification compared to XSB/VSB/HFR, I wonder if, paradoxically, it might actually be 'safer'. I note that when the pandemic hit, even VSB/HFR fell quite precipitously. Would you advocate a mix of VCIP/VSB/HFR instead? If so, how would you weight the three? Thank you.

Q: I am trying to find the average returns of the TSX, and the TSX 60 (XIU?), for the last 5, 10 and 20 years - including and excluding dividends. Am I right to use the XIU for the TSX 60, or is there something better? Could you please complete the missing 'including dividend' and let me know where I could find that in the future? Thank you very much.

Q: Hello Peter, I understand that Power Corp has made nothing for investors for the past decade (apart from decent dividends). And Great-West Lifeco not much better. Recognizing that Power owns a good share of GWO, which would you prefer as an income investor going forward: POW, with an extra bit of yield and some interests other than GWO, or just GWO as a pure play on the lifeco? Q: Kraken - Current earnings appear to show modest revenue despite a significant contract announcement some while ago, so I am wondering about the growth prospects for this company. What I would like to ask is whether the market for Kraken's products provide a good opportunity for growth or is it inherently small/limited in prospects?
Greenlane appears to be struggling to break even notwithstanding improving revenue, a (significantly?) larger backlog and what I would call an outstanding quote book which borders on the gigantic. How do you view the prospects for GRN as well as XBC, assuming they don't get Trumped like Questor?
Re DOC and WELL I have been trying to determine whether these two have the same/similar business models or not, as the more recent announcements by DOC have been on the acquisition of clinics to support a team, which appears to be a collaborative model for medical services, while WELL's emphasis appears to be on digital records and remote services. Do these two occupy the same space or are they inherently different and might one offer better prospects than the other?

Q: Hi, are you willing to comment on a macro issue of the economy? I am perplexed by the housing market where volume of sales and prices seem to be hitting highs in some Canadian urban centers (not Alberta). Lumber companies are doing well. The long term Covid impact on the economy and jobs seems murky at best. Why is there so much confidence in the Canadian housing market? Due to historically low interest rates and some pent up demand? Federal policies designed to prop up the economy? I keep thinking this is all going to end badly if the jobs aren’t there to pay those mortgages. Appreciate your service. You may post this question publicly if you feel it’s Of general interest.
