Q: In my RRIF, where income with some growth is the aim, I am considering replacing one or all of EIF, SPB, PKI, CRR.UN with UMAX ETF. In what order would you sell ( I believe it’s best to spread this out over the next 6 months) ? Is there any stock you would keep or is a definite sell ? This will double the portfolio’s income and offset the rising mandatory withdrawal . This will also increase my portfolio’s composition of large cap industrial and utility companies. Your opinion on this approach is appreciated. Thanks. Derek.

Q: Thx for the heads up on CLS in early May. Looking at insider buying by CEOs and CFOs do you see anything of interest at present? Anything of interest from the growth porfolio with significant insider buying?

Thx

Q: I believe in the products of these two companies but either management has executed poorly or their products are ahead of their time. Once the tax loss season starts, it may be possible to pick them up at even lower prices; however, the risk of going bankrupt also looms in their future. Can management turn these companies around? What is the risk that these two companies go bankrupt before demand for their product increases?

Q: i was wondering if your team would be willing to address an issue for people moving assets out of their RIF. Just a generalized response would be of help as most advisors are in the selling business, which is understandable.
Thank you and happy Thanksgiving to everyone at 5i.

Q: I would appreciate your help with an investment decision.

I own Qcom and I’m down about 40%.

As you pointed out in answering a recent question the PE makes it look cheap. It’s got a decent dividend Howe.

However, it doesn’t seem to be or have any momentum,

Would I be better off selling QCOM and adding to either or both NVDA or Adobe both of which are up nicely.

Alternatively, would I be better off just buying an ETF for safety and diversification.

Thank you for your help.

Q: With the recent conflict in Israel, the forecasted coming recession in North America, and continued high interest rates for the foreseeable future, would now be a good entry point to buy SU? If not, what range would be reasonable to buy it at?

Would you say that SU has good looking prospects for an increase in share price for an investment horizon of 3 to 5 years? I am looking for a decent dividend to be accompanied by stock appreciation. Or, if the price appreciates significantly sooner than that, I could exit at that point too. Thank you for your insights.
