Q: Hi 5i - Does THO have significant operations contributing to revenue other than those related to the troubled property? I'm wondering if the selling has been overdone and if one should take a position at this point.

Q: Hi. This is my first time posting a question, or rather three questions. Why would a small-cap company like ABT want to issue dividends? Is there any benefit for them to do so? Is there dividend in more danger of being cut, because they are a small-cap company?

Q: Good morning,
I recently (last 2 weeks) added BCE, Enbridge and Goeasy to my kids' accounts with a 2-3 years investment horizon. Last night's guest on Market Call had nothing but bad things to say about these three companies as long term investments. I rely a lot on what I hear on market call is that a mistake and do you think my entry points were ok?
Thank you,
Chantal

Hello Peter
Is there any reason to avoid Bank of Commerce? It has a trailing P/E of 8.96, dividend of 4.52%, is by far the cheapest of all the Canadian Banks and would seem to be a best buy. Are there any problems anticipated with the new US acquisition? Anything I am missing? Is a 6% position in CM ok for income added to existing positions in RY 4%, BNS 3%, and TD 2%?
Thank you......... Paul K

Q: Hello again!
It came to my attention that AQN declares its dividends in US$. Do they adjust for exchange rate and if not should I ask for my dividends to be paid in US$ while the loonie is getting higher and higher?
Have a good day!

Q: Hi
I am looking to move some of my retirement account into things that I consider hard assets (Real Estate, Railways and Utilities etc.). I am looking for 3 REITS that have strong real estate holdings with the least amount of leverage. 2 residential and one commercial. What is your recommendation /

Q: Good Morning.
Could I get your opinion of Geely (HKG 0175)? It is up substantially since 2016. Is there an etf or fund that would hold stocks exposed to electric vehicles, etc.? Thank you.

Q: I hold small weightings in cdz, zwc, zwh, zwe as well as holdings in Canadian utilities. I am thinking of replacing cdz with either zdh or cyh to increase my international holdings. Would you please look under the hood of zdh and cyh and would you recommend this move or do you have another recommendation?. Thanx. Great service.
Q: Hi, what are your thoughts on JWEL and its valuation ? Bunch of analysts initiated coverage, today on the stock with fairly positive bias and higher price targets. Is it worth starting a small position at this point?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Encana has been steadily climbing this month. Is it worth taking a small position?
WCP has held it's own YTD, but not TOG. I am still under by a small %. Should I sell TOG and add to WCP?
Thanks!

Q: If you had to choose, which company would you sell today?
Q: Would you sell USB.us if you held it and replace it with Goldman Sachs GS.us instead? OR would you keep USB (assuming your allocation allowed) and simply ADD Goldman? I’d appreciate some SUBSTANTIVE reasoning , would really apreciate that. Many thanks.
(PS: I reviewed your previous comments on Goldman Sachs and was baffled by your responses. Goldman a target for takeover given anti-trust rules & regs? And: Goldman I could not see where made the acquisitionist you referred to; nor does Goldman pay the dividend amounts you mentioned. Nevertheless , I defer to your expertise)
I have a question about 854

Q: Not too happy with the price fall of CLF. Would you consider switching to PYF a decent move....just looking for some relative safety and yield over the next 3 to six months. Thanks.

Q: I currently hold aqn, approx. 11% of my portfolio and am thinking about adding one of ema,cu or fts. I do not expect to exceed 15% in total portfolio value and am not adverse to reducing my position in aqn to add one of the above. Which of these three utilities would you add for both growth and income and why.
Thanks, David

Q: All seems well here? I've let it run to an overweight position, especially for the size of company, whats the biggest company risk you see going forward?
