Q: I am trying build a list of buy and forget core stocks for each sector. I hold the following utilities in various accounts: FTS, BIPC, BEPC, AQN, NEE, BLX, NPI. Can you please rank these for safety and also for growth. I hold BLX in a corp account because it has the lowest yield - do you see BLX as a long term buy and forget stock? Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i team:
Without editorializing or getting too “grumpy old man”, it seems we have a productivity issue in Canada, and now a labour force participation and perhaps also a work ethic issue. Every employer where I reside is bemoaning “people problems”.
I’m wondering if you have done any work on identifying companies that generate high free cash flow with relatively fewer employees? I know you have mentioned ATA in the past as maybe a way to play the theme, but I’m thinking of companies that are already there because of the nature of their business.
Thanks

Q: Hi - I held above utility and telecome stocks. With CPI hits 40 years high in Canada, BOC will likely rise 75bps in July. Do you think income stocks will be under pressure as yeild % may not be compelling anymore due to higher GIC rate. Which names would you sale first in a risk off environment?

I value your opinion.

Thanks,

Although these stocks are not alike, which two would be your top choices for the next few years based on growth, dividend, possible recession, manageable volatility, and momentum? Please explain why as well.

Q: Peter,

Please provide your list of favorite utility stocks. Focus should be on debt levels able handle higher interest rates, a competitive yield and a history of regularly raising dividend payments.

Thank you

Q: Hi,
Inflation came in hot again today in the U.S. Do you guys have a view of the dot plot? Some economists see the Fed hiking rates 5-6 times this year with a 50 BPS thrown in for good measure. Others see a less aggressive FED with 3-4 rate hikes.

Also, the renewable energy names all seem to be making a nice bottom in the past month or so. Could they be signaling that the rate hikes may now be baked into these names?
Thanks again.

Take as many credits as required. Thanks.

Q: Renewable energy has been beaten up over the last year and seems to be fairly cheap at the moment. With quantitative tightening and raising interest rates on the horizon, would it be prudent to wait to see what happens with inflation before moving into this sector? Which of these names do you prefer? Thanks.
