Q: Hello 5i,
I have $10,000 of ZEM and am looking for income. Would it be O.K. to switch to DVYE? 75 years, value investor for income with some growth ( LSPD, LNF).

I am interested in your analysis of the following.
Given the markets appear to be trading at higher multiples vs "normal", can you please comment on what the current levels are, what the median levels would be (that history shows us) and what the market levels would look like if a reversion to the mean took place?
Q: What do you make of another short squeeze on blackberry. Why is this company involved in a Reddit squeeze? Is it not a company that was on the verge of bankruptcy like GameStop and Amc.
Only 9 percent is shorted. Where do you see this playing out in the next week? I own BB on its own merit but the short squeeze has me wondering whether I should take the money and run.
Your thoughts on FUTU Holdings LTD - nasdaq. Apparently the chinese "Robinhood" - digitized brokerage platform. Im especially interested in your take on financials, company guidance, market expectations, and association with TENCENT.
Q: Hi, What's your view on the Nuvei's Secondary Offering of 7.2 mln shares @ US$69.78. There seems to be no dilution and selling shareholders including CEO Philip Fayer, Novacap, CDPQ and others will continue to own almost 90% of their current stake ? Is it a good opportunity to Buy/Add ? Thanks
Q: in a follow up to my question on the above which i asked yesterday and you quickly responded to there was an announcement last night regarding the dividend rate for the next 5 years...my question today is the news release says "If declared "...does this mean that they may still redeem the preferreds or am I to assume the prefs will live for another 5 years....and assuming BAM is successful in taking over BPY then these shares would become a liability of BAM providing a credit rating boost...Correct ??...please deduct whatever credits are applicable and thanking you in advance for your response...Cheers
With all this talk about higher inflation (new shiny object for the media) there has been very little discussion on the explosion of debt Countries have embarked on, pre, and since the onset of Covid. Seems like this appears to be a coordinated effort throughout the developed world, and as a result, no one seems too bothered, Including Conservatives.
Are there any lessons in history we can draw from? How does 5i think this all gets resolved over the next decade or two, assuming it will take a bit of time to generate enough growth to cover all this?
Are we headed for multiple Japans where the Gov't owns all or most Gov't issued bonds to control interest payments. Does this scenario create even more inflation with depreciation of currencies and a race to the bottom on exchange rates? Way above my pay grade so please take a stab at opining on this for us.
Q: Hi 5i, I've seen a recently viral clip going around social media of a TV showing you which shoes an NBA player is wearing in real time while also giving you the option to purchase them. This seems like an incredibly powerful interface to drive consumer spending that can certainly be expanded to almost any visible entertainment platform. Is this along the same lines of Shopify? If not, I'm wondering if you know of any frontrunners in this space that would be worth taking a position.
To compliment your offerings, would you consider creating three ETF versions to mimic your Income, Growth and Balanced portfolios. Any chance this is on your radar, or possibly partner with and ETF provider to achieve this?
Q: I own a fair amount of zpay for combination of yield and exposure to the US market. Can you explain why it has been weak while US markets have continued to rise?
Q: You have received a number of recent questions concerning cyber security. I would appreciate your view of GD, which I believe has a division focused upon defense cyber security.
Q: Hello,
I am nearing retirement. I have CBO, CPD, VAB and XHY at 20% of my fixed income portfolio. All these ETF's exist in my unregistered account. I wanted to add XBB in my RRSP account. Any concerns about too much overlap by adding this position? This will add 7% to my fixed income position. Portfolio analytics recommends a 30% position.
