Q: Good morning
What is the difference between these two and which is more tax efficient in a non registered account? Are the dividends basically as safe in either ?

Q: Park Lawn, BCE and BEP taking a tidy beating in the wife’s income portfolio. While we enjoy the divs, the red ink is off-putting to be fair.

We are a few years away from drawing on her account, so at what point would you consider averaging down on these. There is a fairly large cash balance waiting to be deployed.

Q: I have held these companies for some time but I am getting impatient. The three year return for BIP is approximately negative 10% while the three year return for BEP is approximately negative 40%. These stocks as you well know are part of the Brookfield family and are generally highly recommended. Do you see a positive future or is it time to get out . Your comments would be appreciated. Thank You.

Q: With increasing power demand (AI, EV's, data centers, etc.), what positive or negative impact does this have on BEP.UN and FTS ?

Are there any Canadian REIT's that are currently investing in the apparent demand for data centers - perhaps DIR.UN or GRT.UN ? I know that BIP.UN is now investing in this area.

Q: Wondering how much the ban on renewables in Alberta will hurt this company?

Q: Good morning. I am looking to invest ~ 2% weight into the Brookfield "space". I am a recently retired, relatively conservative, investor focused more on income than growth right now, and am targeting an annual minimum of 3-7% dividend growth rate.

Of all the Brookfield companies, if you had to choose one in the above context, which one would it be?

Q: Hello team,

I have all four of these in my income portfolio. The telco's for the divs and Park Lawn and BEP for income and growth. All four are down substantially (20-30%) from purchase in fall of 2022. The news out on BCE is less than flattering, while there has not beeen much on PLC. The other two I assume are biding their time, and should/might rerate with a drop in interest rates. I am a long term buy and hold and am quite satisfied with the income aspect of my portfolio, but my finger keeps getting itchy each time I see a drop in SP, for no reason at all.

My question is, will these Companies need rate cuts in order to rerate, or is their business that bad that their SP continues to stagnate. I know the other shoe about the economy improving, but that applies to all stocks, and have taken that into consideration.

Thanks for the service, I'd be lost without it. My former finacial advisor, not such a big fan!

Q: I just bought BEP.UN in a non-registered account,shall the dividends be " fully taxed" ( equivalent to interest), if not how precisely will they be taxed ? Should I then switch for BEPC ? Thanks..

Q: Back on 1/20/2024, you thought that these companies (partnerships) would not have withholding tax in the states. I've since received communication from my broker that I have to arrange for a U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). They didn't indicate which holdings, but I do own these two companies. Has the company updated their advice? Thanks.

Q: I have held both of these stocks for a long time but beginning to feel that they will not be doing much for a while. Can you see either returning to growth this year?

Q: Why are the renewable energy companies performing so poorly for so long (more than two years going by BEP.UN, BLX and INE, for example)? With all governments around the world all pushing for clean energy and yet these companies' SP performance are not reflected in the TSX? Thanks.

Q: This has been a long term hold in as RRIP account with a DRIP, The book cost is close to the current market value. Enjoyed the dividends over the years. Is it time to move on. Look forward to your answer.
