Q: In a recent Market Update (Aug 22) you spoke of the power of compounding and the key characteristics of a high compounding stock such as higher volatility, strong sales growth, lower dividends, premium valuations, etc. As a follow up to this topic could you please provide the 5 best US companies (or more if you wish) which you consider to fit these characteristics for long term compounding. Q: Hi Guys
Quite surprised Baytex has dropped $1 off share price in the last month off what seemed to be an already discounted share price.. Any insights into why it is off so much versus other Oil and Gas companies? Also Baytex always is in the top ten traded stocks on the TSX each day. Any idea what that is? does it attract more speculators?

Q: The following 5 companies make up the majority of my small cap portfolio:
HPS.A - current price $ 113 CAD
TVK - current price $ 95 CAD
Celestica - current price $ 58 CAD
Docebo - current price $ 55 CAD
ADF group - current price $ 12.9
Propel holding- - current price $ 27.29 CAD

Q: As a retiree with no pension, I am a dividend oriented investor, and over the last couple years have acquired some of the high yielding covered call ETFs. The yields are often twice what one could get without the covered call, and the ROC helps with OAS clawback. However, there seem to be more and more of these ETFs popping up, which makes me wonder - how big is the options market relative to the options trading by these funds? Now obviously they don't sell/buy options on all their holdings, but is there any chance they could end up basically betting against each other? Who are the major players in options trading? Do you see any problems with the proliferation of these funds, here or in the US?

Q: HHLE (Harvest Healthcare Leaders Enhanced) is classified as "diverse", Yes, it is an ETF but it holds only healthcare companies and no industrial, yet it split between HealthCare and industrial. It is not included in the healthcare profile as a percentage of holdings. This put healthcare lower than it should be. Can this be adjusted or does HHLE deserve to be split between healthcare and industrial?

Q: With the oil and gas stocks getting hit in recent days, I am considering taking a position in one dividend paying company once things appear to have settled a bit (as if I know). I have been looking at TPZ as a NG position or WCP for oil. Of these two, do you have a preference, based on company fundamentals combined with the commodity potential (ie NG or oil)?
