Q: SHOP was all over the map yesterday. Started premarket at $US 123, then down to 109 after results released, then rose through afternoon and closed at 123 on HUGE volume. I see this morning on TD there have been 14 analysts weighing in this week with 9 buys and 5 holds. Can you parse through all this and provide what you feel is happening now and will happen going forward. There is no doubt SHOP is the real thing but how does this translate to stock performance?

Q: Any suggestions on how to "Trump-proof" one's portfolio?
Q: I used to have a position in Celsius, but I exited it a while back when market sentiment became negative on the company. It has been a falling knife for many months: do you see any point at which it might begin a recovery, or do you see this as a company that could ultimately become bankrupt?
I don’t normally make an investment habit of bottom feeding, but the level of the drop has intrigued me to a degree. I’d really appreciate your insight on this company. Thanks so much, and I look forward to your response.

Q: Can you explain atz’s secondary offering please
Q: After today's earnings call, I'm still down 28% overall on these guys. I don't need the $, happy to let it sit for the long run. My question is, am I better off investing that money somewhere else or do you foresee a future where I stand to benefit by sticking with them. If you do suggest moving on, provide a suggestion pls.
Q: What are your thoughts on this new spinout company. I voted against the deal. I'm long Canadian oil and gas but I'm down in my tfsa and it looks like we no longer get a dividend to wait.
Q: What are you expecting from CELH heading into earnings?
Q: Helping my young son with his TFSA; we bought CLS in late October based on your positive comments and recently sold enough shares near the high to get back his original investment. Now considering either TOI or LMN. Which stock would you choose and why? I'm favoring LMN but worried about the negative momentum at the moment. Thanks!
Q: Why is FIX down today? It's on my watch list, is it a good day to buy?

Q: Could you please comment on Intact Financial earnings ? Were there any details about their liability estimates for L.A. wildfires ?
How is the current valuation and would you be comfortable to add some shares at current levels, for 3-5 years hold ?
Thank You

Q: Hi 5i, I was listening to a steel analyst stating that "value added steel manufacturers" like Russel metals would be exempt from steel tarrifs. I realize the companies that actually make steel and the steel outputs for downstream manufacturing will be taxed. If this is true then aren't companies like the one mentioned or DRX or HPS also exempt? Now if anything manufactured in Canada is taxed then all bets are off.

Q: If the Globe is to be believed Apple owns 20% of Globalstar courtesy of a USD 1.5 Billion financing. Globalstar in turn has added $750 million (CAD?) to MDA’s existing contract to build satellites for Globalstar. The satellites will be manufactured in Montreal presumably tariff free provided I suppose they don’t use a US launch site.Do you know if there are Canadian launch sites/companies? Is Magellan Aerospace a candidate? Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

Q: Would LIC be directly affected by the steel tariffs?
Q: Peter, I see that 3 mths gain is 67% and since April 2024 IPO, after a low at 39$, today is at 213.76$!! Too good to be true? I know that you always like to wait after an IPO - NBIS an exception. Is it still time to buy some?

Q: Can I please have your thoughts on VRT earnings. Do you think it is a good time to initiate a position? Thank-you.
Q: Dear 5i Team:
I always enjoy your 5 from 5i section. Usually contain at least one if not more thought provoking articles and help me to understand the BIG picture better.
First a non-question! Who in the team "curates" these articles?! Thee is some consistency here.
From Ritzhold's article: Based on their take on opportunities, what are the stocks/sectors you would suggest? Financials? Stocks that will benefit from inflation!! Energy. I couldn't "decode" this article into actionable ideas.
