Q: Hi All at 5i! I am doing some tax loss selling to off set a capital gain. I am underwater on these three stocks and plan to sell them. After the appropriate waiting time would you buy any of these back?? Cheers, Tamara

Q: Thoughts on COIN now that the valuation is more reasonable. Please provide pros and cons of this stock and what is the current forward P/E?
Q: Good morning everyone at 5i!
Peter, I would like to compliment you on your National Post article I read this weekend. You are a breath of common sense in this “ the sky is falling” world. I always feel much more optimistic after having read your articles. Thank you. Now to my question. You equated bitcoin to the tulip bubble. I always wondered about bitcoin and the attraction. Should I divest myself of my holding in Coin, if there is no real future in bitcoin?? That, and Square are my only exposure to the bitcoin market. Cheers, Tamara

AFRM aside, could you rank 3 or 4 of favorite US based IPOs so far in 2021, that you’re watching and briefly let us know what you see and like.
thx, Mark

Q: Hi Peter,
Does a portfolio, that is made up of the stocks listed above, agreeable to you if one has a longer term time frame, say 5 years plus and has a high tolerance for risk?
Thanks,

Q: Hi 5i Team,
I have approx. $100k USD of capital to deploy to a portfolio with a 3 to 5 year hold outlook with a focus on High Growth. Comfortable with higher risk.
I’d like to have meaningful position sizing so want to limit the # of stocks to 4.
The pool I am considering is COIN, SI, ROKU, NVDA, SHOP, AFRM, SQ, CRWD, and ZM.
My inclination so far is to go:
45% - NVDA – This just seemed like a must own to me. Semiconductor exposure in a supply-short environment along with the multitude of other things they support – AI, Gaming, Genomic sequencing etc. Hard to see how they won’t be over a trillion dollar market cap especially if the ARM acquisition is go (Risk factor).
25% - AFRM – BNPL adoption in North America is far behind that of Europe/APAC and I like AFRMs positioning as a consumer first proposition with transparency and AI with strong partnerships with AMZN, AAPL Canada and SHOP.
20% - COIN – Continued adoption of Crypto. Would use this as a proxy instead of going with ETFs/Fund exposure
15% - CRWD (Valuation risk so smallest position, but cybersecurity industry hasn’t matured yet with lots of runway remaining for a stock with strong MOAT)
I decided against SHOP due to how much growth they've already seen and potential impact on consumer spend from an inflationary environment.
Could you comment your thoughts / advice on the above? Any stocks that you would switch out or position sizing you’d recommend to reconsider?

Q: HI
Wondering about coinbase and its future. Bought in when it went public and it is down but slowly climbing. What do you think of this company going forward.
thanks

Q: Can you please give me your opinion on PayPal. Does the recent price drop represent a buying opportunity or is this an indication of head winds ahead. What would be your top 5 Fintech stocks for a 3 to 5 year hold. Thanks for all your expertise.
Q: Can you speak to the class-action lawsuit filed against Coinbase?
What do you think of the future prospects for Coinbase? Their fees appear high relative to the competition, and the threat of commission free (or low fee) crypto exchanges looms large. Competitors, such as Kraken, are preparing to follow suit and go public. Is the Coinbase business model and continued growth rate sustainable?

Q: Relative to payment methods for the purchase of goods, bank sponsored debit and credit cards employ intermediaries such as VISA or Master Card.
This appears to be increasingly disrupted by tech companies that are not financial companies themselves, however I understand, have a bank in the background.
My question is: If I own VISA should I also consider owning PAYPAL or other to take advantage of the tech side of things thus giving my self a barbell approach? This is not a question on VISA or PAYPAL but on the benefits of investing in the new entities that seem to be appearing in the financial payment system.
Thanks

Q: What are your thoughts on Coin?..is it comparable to buying a stock like X? I was thinking that coin must be dertermined by number of transactions and not necessarily on the price of crypto currency.. is that correct?Thank you. Shyam
Q: So this new crypto etf has about 60% of weight in its top 10 holdings with Coinbase on top. I'd ask for any initial view on its setup or other comment you may have and whether this may become a preferred way to invest in cryto at some point. Thank you - Ken

Q: Am I missing any major sectors with these stock investments?
Where should I focus if I would like to ensure a diverse portfolio?
Are there any stocks that I should dump?

Q: Peter; Your crystal ball was working last week when you replied to a COIN question re waiting to see how it reacts if Bitcoin falls 15%. So it has now - wouldn’t COIN benefit with increased trading - sort of like VISA - a needed portal and makes money either way ? Thanks.Rod
