I am thinking of balancing the asset type in my income portfolio .
I am currently 40% financials , 25 % energy stocks . 25 % real estate, 10 % consumer
Do I need to rebalance?

Do you have suggestions for dividend paying growth stocks that i can add or health stocks that you would recommend over my current portfolio.

The minimum dividend for a stock in my portfolio income portfolio is 3.5 %

Q: In your answer to "K", you mention the following......

"....The thesis is that certain names are being unfairly punished, and while guidance and earnings may be coming in lower than expected, multiples are contracting and companies with a current price to sales of 0.5X can trade closer to 3X to 5X in a deflationary, falling interest rate environment. "

Do you actually mean deflationary, or should it be disinflationary ? Not trying to nit-pick, but there is a difference. If we were experiencing deflation I was thinking companies would trade at much lower P/S valuations since the market would likely be in a sell-off (?). Maybe I misunderstood the response.

Q: Hi Guys
Is VMO to illiquid to own? . I see it traded mere 100 shares today, reflecting no percentage gain. would not the average weighted gain of all the holdings today be up at least 3%
Total net assets of 63.8 million and only 1.5 million shares outstanding.
Is it correct to say the NAV is calculated by adding up the per share dollar value of each underlying holding ( in this case 871 holdings) then dividing by the 1.5 million shares outstanding. In this case Scotiabank shows a NAV of $43.20 which happens to be equal to the price the 100 shares traded at today for a Zero percentage gain
I thought the NAV would have been much higher considering todays gains in much of the holdings?
