Q: I have held CP for some time. After a period of strong increases, in the past few weeks it has pulled back by over 15%. CNR (which I do not own) also pulled back but not to the same degree. This surprised me as general economic conditions still seem fairly positive and I would have expected the rails to continue with strength. Do you see these companies returning to their positive path over the next 3-6 months? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
In an answer to George today , you indicated that Food Services got a lot of new shares in exchange for trademarks. Not sure what good that does for the existing unit holders? Or does Food Services get new units in AW.UN when new restaurants are added to the pool so our growth is limited to same stores sales increase instead of also new stores ?

Q: I have a list of all earnings release dates and when I feel it is necessary I will do a protective put before earnings, which seems to work very well in this volatile market.
What the h--- happened with the GIL guidance which just seems to come out of the blue with no warning etc?
How does one protect against something that happens haphazardly?
Why would they do this? To piss off their shareholders?

Q: Marijuana stocks: “Dead Cat Bounce” or Trend reversal

Examples: Weed, Hexo, HMMJ,TLRY, VFF

After some major drops in share prices, the last couple of days have seen some nice and welcomed increases.
Do you see this a a Dead Cat bounce or a trend reversal.
If a trend reversal, do you see significantly more upside potential in any of the above.

But I know from your answers you watch for the trends and repeatedly point to the lack of traction in the Energy sector.

What are the momentum factors/ trend changing indicators that you do consider when you answer your subscribers' questions?
Are there any newsletters/blogs/that you respect/follow?

Q: Looking through their report today, their share count is up by about 800,000 units (5% or so) this year, compared to last year. am I missing something? I thought the recent offering they did was of shares already owned by the parent? bit of a goofy question but the DCPU would've been positive for the quarter if the share count was closer, no?

“it is not a must own in our view”
so in your view give me 7-10 stocks for growth that are a must own in your view,i am assuming the above 5 make the list. dave
