Q: With regard to Mike selling all his shares in SHOP too early; what I have learned from 5i is you do not have to sell your winners just because they are up; you trim if the stock position gets too big. What I have also done is sell enough shares equal to my original cost and let my profits ride until the position gets too big.

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
In my US Healthcare basket I currently own PFE , JNJ,STYK, and MDT
a)Are there other US Healthcare names that you would substitute for any of the 4 as part of a basket?

b) I also own CSH.UN and SIA and love the dividends and am hopeful of a price jump based on your previous replies of that beaten up sector getting to the other side. In a basket approach are there other names in the US that would warrant a trimming of either of those two or of SIS or GUD to own on a long term basis total return dividends and capital gains?

Q: I hold OGI (-67%), SPB (-18%), TCL.A (-20%), and RCI.B (-10%) all at the losses indicated. Which would you buy more of, hold, or sell? Would you switch RCI.B for more BCE or T, both of which I already hold? I'm looking for capital gains with a dividend, when possible. Thanks for your insight.

Q: I am about to become a Canadian non-resident for tax purposes. (once borders reopen). I understand I can keep my TFSA in Canada with no tax issues, but cannot contribute anything more to the TFSA. Does that make sense to you? If so, would ZGQ be a good all purpose ETF to leave in my TFSA. Any issues with this etf being in a TFSA? Any other ideas? Thanks.

Q: Comments by leaders of countries. " we will need to spend money on Infrastructure roads, bridges, airports, mass transportation, etc. How is best way to play this ? Q: My Canadian dividend portfolio lacks exposure to materials. I currently hold CCL.B and was considering adding one position in SJ, NTR, or BOS. My goal is owning a good business at a sound valuation with prospects of dividend growth for at a long term. I consider the companies the best in the Canadian universer of stocks when it comes to materials. I am leaning towards NTR, but I am hesitant because I try not to invest in businesses that are very sensitive to commodities prices. Can you comment on these companies, their management, risks, and outlook? What do you think is the best option among the three?

Q: Hey guys, I have owned DPM, GCM, and SVM for a few years. The 3 stocks account for about 4% of my total portfolio. I currently have roughly 8% total in the materials sector(AEM 4%). keep holding these 3 or consolidate into 1 of the 3 or is there a better stock to play the sector?

Q: Hi Peter and Staff

At the time you added Leons to your income portfolio you obviously liked it "better" than Canadian Tire......I am not sure if it was because of the higher dividend. Looking at current price and possible recovery in price as well as dividend, how much better do you like one than the other and would you switch Canadian Tire for Leons looking at combined returns of dividends and stock price gains.
