Q: So many members ask questions where they ask you to rank a number of companies which they suggest. Let me change that up a. bit. Please rank the top 10 Canadian companies that YOU think have the best chance of yielding the highest returns for 5i members In 2026. Perhaps an unfair question but I"m curious.

Q: The State of the Union address by Trump is on Feb 24th in the evening. The Supreme Court will release decisions on Feb 20, 24 and 25, and these are the last dates until July 2026. I predict they will wait until after the State of the Union address because Supreme Court judges attend the State of the Union, and they don't need Trump criticizing them in public and will release their decision on Feb 25th. If they decide the tariffs are unconstitutional, which sectors might be the winners?

Q: Just a comment, I'm sure I'm not alone in this situation. All down 30-45% in my TFSA. I hate it when it feels like everybody is wrong and you and a few others think you are right, or are we? It feels like Armagedon. Been there before. It's not fun but they now only represent 5% of my portfolio so I will survive but my TFSA will take a huge hit this year.

Q: Microsoft and Amazon are launching AI content marketplaces, where people and companies can buy, sell, or license AI‑generated content. Are you able to expand on the implications of this? Can you name a few companies that might be negatively impacted? Thank you.

Q: Well after 50 years in the market, what have i learnt.
Never fall in LOVE with a stock, protect your capital, sell a portion of a stock when you have made your cost back. Thinking that you are up say 50% in a stock, you have not made a PENNY until you SELL. Investors have a thing in there head that is called GREED, i can make more on this stock. I can name all kind of stocks in say 5i that clients would be very happy if they would of taken some profits a couple of months ago. It takes a long time to make up a 50% loss.
Thanks Again

Q: FYI: This article (in french) might be interesting regarding the recent drop of WSP, ATRL, STN.

https://www.lapresse.ca/affaires/entreprises/2026-02-14/secousses-sur-les-marches/la-menace-de-l-ia-atteint-wsp-et-atkinsrealis.php

It assumes it could be related to the Thursday upgrade of Google Gemini 3 Deep Think .
But this upgrade could be viewed as positive rather than negative.

Q: I have held these stocks for many years. Their performance has been disappointing compared to other US stocks. In your expert opinion, are they worth holding or should I sell? What 2 stocks would you buy to replace them. Please expand on your thinking. Thank you for your guidance. Stella.

Q: Hello,

To which would you add/start a position in to today? Long term hold. I already own STN and WCN (would be averaging up).

Also, if you could explain the drop in Stantec that would be great.

Thanks!

Q: Reflecting on the Software apocalypse... Given that most trading has been automated for years, I assume that it is now largely AI driven.

A question asked only partly tongue in cheek, is it possible that trading AI's see the software companies as adversaries and the stock market as one avenue of attack?
