Q: RSP account, new position. 10-yr + hold. Don’t know whether to buy individual stock for nice dividend, or ETF for diversification. Thoughts?

Q: i am trying to make some little changes to my rrsp. If i can have your opinion on the rail way companies i have been holding UNP for around 3 years now can not complain much i am up 35% on it i am thinking of selling it and replacing it with CNR i would like to know if that will be better for me looking at around another 5 year hold. And my other question would be is i hold TRP and ENB in my RRSP as well would you sell one and if so which one would you think i should sell. Thank you so much and take what ever credits you need for this

the prices has been dropping for the last 2 weeks; any news?

if there are no further substantial increase in interest rate later this year
would it help the share price, ? or further rate hikes will hurt the stock

Q: Hi, Trp is down 5% on announcement it is raising its estimate for the cost of its Coastal GasLink project to $14.5 billion, up from an earlier estimate of $11.2 billion. I believe this is the second cost increase on this project. Will Trp have to eat these increases or be able to eventually recover them from customers? Do you believe with the current price decline and yielding around 6.5% Trp is a decent buy for income investors?

Q: I was interrupted during my buy of ROKU last Thursday when it was below $50 and when I next looked it was $56! Ouch. I see it has earnings on Feb 15. I know you recommend buying for long term and not waiting for earnings, but I feel like it could go either way here, and a 10% rise this week is significant - do you have a recommendation regarding buying before or after in this case? Thanks!

Q: Hi,

I have about 8% of my portfolio in WPM, LUN, DPM and FCX. Wondering if you think I should add 3% in steel?

If so, which US or CDN companies would you recommend? STDL seems to have the best long term returns but I've heard their earning are expected to go down next year?
