Q: I recently picked up some POWL:US stock. Today (Friday March 1st) I see the stock has dropped approx 5%. I also note that Mr. T Powell, owner, sold 25K shares. This might have been a trigger for some investors as a time to sell. However, he owns 2.4M shares. I am thinking that his sale is actually immaterial to his overall holdings. In other words, this might be a good time to purchase more. Am I on the right track?
My thanks.
My thanks.

Q: Hello 5i,
Interested in your perspective on CDRs vs traditional US holdings. Understanding you are comfortable with them did want to validate 2 scenarios -
1 - Would you always prefer the traditional US holding versus its equivalent CDR and assuming so - is there a minimun you would consider in terms of holdings. Simply put - does it make sense to buy only (example) 3 shares of GOOG or should I instead use that liquidity to purchase equivalent CDR's
2 - Can you please rank top 3 CDR's at the moment
Thank you as always!

Q: Sir: some people are suggesting that seeking high income vehicles yielding north of 8% might be a better way to go. The following have been mentioned: 1. Preferred Stock closed end funds 2. CEF connect 3. High yield bond closed end funds 4. Senior loan closed end funds. Do you agree? and how does one find a winner in each of the categories? In a recession, this makes sense to me..

Q: What do you make of their report?
-
Purpose High Interest Savings Fund (PSA)
-
Global X High Interest Savings ETF (CASH)
-
Premium Cash Management Fund (MCAD)
-
TD Cash Management ETF (TCSH)
Q: I am retired and looking to park some cash. TCSH and MCAD appears to be another type of ETF being offered around fixed income. These ETFs along with ETFs like PSA and CASH seem to be a good place to park some cash for a while. What would your opinion be on the safety of either type of ETF and any advantages or disadvantages of either class of ETF?

Q: I'm not sure how to interpret your answer to my question about Nuvei. (Answer: 5I RESEARCH ANSWER:
CLS 3; DCBO 6; NVEI 1, TFII 5, TVK 4, TCS 2). It appears to me that you still favour Nvei (1), and at (6) DCBO is the least appealing? Pete

Q: It is time to make my 2024 RRSP contribution. For this account, I follow the Balanced Equity portfolio. I would like to add to two or three positions and am currently underweight in BAM, CAE, OTEX, CCL, KXS, and MG. I do not own any RCH. Which of these would be good positions to add to/initiate now? Thank you.

Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. Class A Limited Voting Shares (BAM)
Q: Good morning. I am looking to invest ~ 2% weight into the Brookfield "space". I am a recently retired, relatively conservative, investor focused more on income than growth right now, and am targeting an annual minimum of 3-7% dividend growth rate.
Of all the Brookfield companies, if you had to choose one in the above context, which one would it be?
Thanks as always.

Q: This is quite a small cap company that you have commented on a number of times, mostly favourably. Stock price has basically doubled since November, I bought some in February. I am just wondering, since you have some familiarity with the company, whether you can explain the reason for the recent price surge . Does your information suggest that adding to a small position may not be a bad, though granted risky, idea. Ie. what is going on here to suddenly drive this stock higher?
Thanks
Neil
