Q: There are some experts who suggest that humanity’s greatest threat is climate change, even more urgent than COVID-19. If this is true then should not all of our future decisions be filtered with a relative carbon footprint weighing.

Q: I listened recently to a discussion involving Cathy Wood and the principal of the Van Eck fund. Cathy Wood said that she thinks possibly fifty per cent of the s and p 500 could be negatively affected because they failed to invest in innovation. A bit scary when you own rsp or voo. On the same interview was van Eck, who seemed to agree with her. And partially for this reason they have developed MOAT. He seems to think that with these companies he circumvents the problem. Perhaps this is my reading into his comments. Wondering whether you might think it would be worthwhile to trade out of rsp and voo and into most
Thanks as always

Q: What do you see as a good entry point for these two stocks for a 5 year hold? CRWD continues to drop in this sector transition and U seems to be holding around low 90s.
Any other US Stocks you would also recommend now and a sense of a good entry point for those as well?

Q: Between the 3 insurance companies, what are the pros and cons of each, if you could suggest which would be a buy today for an RRSP.
Q: Can you comment on Coherent deciding to walk away from the offer by LITE and to pay a 217M penalty fee. LITE is up substantially since the announcement. Does this mean if the deal had gone forward, it presented serious risk to LITE and the market was relieved the bidding war ended this way? How significant is the 217M fee? How do you rate LITE going forward?

Q: Good day! I will be receiving a large income tax refund in the coming days and will be adding in to my wife's TFSA which already includes positions in ATZ, NVEI, KL, GSY and TRUL. Time horizon of 20+ years affords a healthy appetite for risk. Her others accounts are well-balanced and moderate risk. I'm looking to add 2-3 positions in the above stocks. Please rank in order of preference for a long term hold. I am also open to any other suggestions. Thank you! (Note: I own WELL, XBC, LSPD, GOOS in my own accounts)
Q: Hi gang
Are there any Canadian vertical farms that trade in Canada
Thanks MIke B

Q: Seems like XBC is still in the doghouse and may be for a while, so I'm trying to decide whether to ride it out given the potential, or cut losses and move to something else. Do you have any new information or views following formal release of their earnings on March 25 or the management conference call? Right now, do you consider XBC a buy, hold or sell, and if a buy or hold what would be reasonable to expect going forward in terms of share price recovery and length of time to do so based on the earnings release or what may have been communicated by management during the conference call?
Q: good afternoon - I'm reading a bit about RIO and it seems a bit odd that such a big company pays such a high dividend. Is this a worthy investment for someone looking for more basic material exposure? Is this dividend real and sustainable? thanks
Q: Second question today, I took about a 3% position in this stock for a long term hold, far from the top but still down significantly. March has been volatile and really trending down in recent days. I cannot see any negative news but with earnings coming out on Monday is this a bad news indication or just market impact? Do you continue to like the company's growth prospects? Thank you.
Q: this tiny gold company has made some management changes of late. What do you make of this ?
Q: Please briefly describe the major differences between the services these 2 companies offer. Are they direct competitors or are they complementary i.e. diversify exposure. If wanting to add exposure to cybersecurity is one preferable? is there a better long-term growth option in this space? This would be for a long term hold. Thank you.

Q: Hi Gents,
No secret that these 3 stocks are ones recommended by Bruce Campbell on BNN. I've followed him a bit in the past and found he seems to like the type of stocks that 5i does, one of his past reccos was LSPD DOC, etc.
He recommended the above 3 stocks this week and just wanted to know what your professional opinion is of these 3.
They differ from those held in the 5i ports, the writeup on them are interesting and rather unique, your comments historically on them (although not plentiful) seem pretty positive.
So if you took a fresh look at the 3 of them, their outlook for growth, and their investability do you agree with him that they all have significant runway and seem to be credible companies with good management?
Appreciate your view here.
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: Hi 5i team,
Within the telecommunication industry, I want to seek for companies that have good growth forecast, reasonable pricing, and mild volatility compared to peers. Dividends Not important. Among T, BCE, and QBR.b, which would be your preference and why, or is there another name you like better? Thanks.

Q: Buy & Sell are specific recommendations. Hold is confusing? I’ve heard that analysts don’t want to issue sell recommendations for various reasons and that hold means sell. The question I would like answered is;
Why would you hold a stock you would not buy?
I have started a thread in the brokerages and research section of the forums if anyone wants to comment.
